This is nothing short of a five-star card. I would have to say the only thing better about this than a Black Lotus is the price. However, for six bucks I do not think you can do better as far bang for the buck (insofar as land is concerned) I would also like to say that if you play with this and no land protection, you deserve to have it destroyed/bounced. Consecrate Ground is not expensive, I suggest you order one or four with it.

really good. better then lotus bloom. and def. worth the 6 bucks. you'd be crazy not to put this in a deck that depends on your own land bbeing destroyed............................. armagedon?

wow amazing combo...wow...im looking at this as a suplement for Gilded lotus which is by the way a very great card. Infante life just got easier

Darting Merfolk
Gilded Lotus/Lotus Vale
Soul Warden/Essense warden
Merrow Reejerey

Have Reejerey out as whell as soul warden/essense warden and gilded lotus/lotus vale. tap gilded lotus/lotus vale
and add 3 blue. Use 2 blue to play darting merfolk, gaining one life from soul/essense warden, and using merrow reejerey, untap the lotus. Pay the last island to return darting merfolk to your hand. Repeat this process.
Hope This helps

PS: Dont scratch your genetal warts, you could hurt yourself.

The Best card for recieving mana out of any set, even better than black lotus, because of the option of choosing the colour of mana!

i dont see whats amazing about it, saccing a flagstones is nice. but besides that...its not like it actually makes more mana...the three of any color can be nice tho. sometimes its actually bad though, like say if you want just one or two mana...mrmph. its knd of overgrowthy but with any color of mana. and it doesnt speed u up.

This is an excellent card. I loved the look of my foes when played them. They did laugh for long. Lotus Vail is an excellent card.

This card is alright but not that good. People are relating this to black lotus too much. It doesn't give any mana acceleration which is what lotus is suppose to be about. The only advantage is any colour mana at any time. The same can be had with a City of Brass but at the cost of life. A fetch land can fetch any colour you want if you have dual land and can thin out your deck.

The only way this card would be good is a Land deck with crucible of worlds and exploration. Or in a blue deck with Stifle or Trickbind giving you the option to counter it's triggered ability so you don't have to sacrifice anything.

I only really got this card for the artwork. It's very pretty. A fine addition to my collection.

However, as for how the card itself plays, I'm not sure why everyone says it's so great. It sacs 2 lands to tap for 3 mana, so if they boomerang or blow up your lotus vale, you get set back 3 lands for nothing. It's not like it really ramps mana anyway. It's too big a risk for not enough benefit. I suppose you could combo something to get lands out and keep the Vale, but than you're just using up cards in your deck to balance out land issues. Perhaps green decks could use this the best, since the two lands you have to sac to vale can easily be replaced by numerous green spells.

All in all, there's better lands out there and Black Lotus is still the reigning champion for mana ramp in the game. Btw, Chris, Black Lotus sacs for 3 of any color. The only difference here is that Lotus Vale is a land that sacs two others, so it's Black Lotus, but worse.

cris you can chose the coler of mana for black lotus to and by the way it isn't better then black lotus and your a moron. but it is a good card the only reason i only give it 3 stars is that if this land is destroyed it's like them destroying 3 lands and hurts you to much plus when i played with this i have had it been boomeranged back to my hand and that really is not fun cause then you sacrafised 2 lands for nothing.
