This has to be my favorite sideboard card. Redirecting spells is a lot of fun, especially if I don't always have to pay mana for it! Great against Urza's Rage. Too bad it's rotating out with the rest of the Masques stuff later this year. -- By Oak Chantosa from KCMO on June 26, 2001 |

A very powerful card, just like the last blue pitch card from Alliances (Force of Will). Misdirection isn't quite as good as it can't stop artifacts, creatures, or global enchantments. It can, however, save one creature and kill another, bounce Urza's Rage right back at it's caster (and they thought you couldn't do anything about it!), put an Armadillo cloak on your Troublesome Spirit instead of their Shivan Wurm, etc., etc. The best part is they see you tapped out and sometimes they think you can't stop their spell, so it has good surprise value as well. Definitely a good sideboard card, or even a main deck card if there are a lot of Fires decks in your area. -- By Tim Destan from Gilbertsville, PA USA on June 28, 2001 |

a great card, my personal favorite applications being against mind twist, hymn to tourach , vindicate, ancestral recall, stroke of genius and nearly all countermagic -- By Anonymous from colorado on April 20, 2008 |
