One of my favorite cards of all time. When Stronghold first came out, a good friend of mine got one of these out of a pack. I spent three days trying to get it off him during the lunch period at school. Every day we kept putting it off. Eventually the price guide in Scrye came out, saying that the Mox was worth $25. He wouldn't trade it then even if I gave him my house, so I ended up not having one until about a year and a half ago. -- By Anonymous from Hudson, NY USA on June 25, 2001 |

Any card that says Mox on it is bound to be good. While the Diamond may not be as good as the Moxes from the basic set, requiring you to discard a land, and you can play 4 in Extended decks (for now, anyway)! It is vulnerable to artifact removal, but despite that, it has found a home in numerous combo and Tinker decks. The card does have its disadvantages, and you should not put it in a deck with little land or a deck that doesn't need very much mana. Still it's a very powerful card. -- By Tim Destan from Gilbertsville, PA USA on June 26, 2001 |

The ultimate card for a multi-colored deck. As magic becomes more and more toned down (which it is becoming) this card will increase in value. -- By Andy from Houston Tx on November 18, 2001 |

I got this card out of like my first pack of stronghold and ended up trading it for like $5. At the time i didnt know it'd be any good, as I figured the discarding of land wasnt really worth it. -- By dtl from Lexington, SC USA on March 15, 2002 |

This card to me is one of the backbone cards in any multicolor decks. Sure you have to discard a land, but to be able to play it for 0 mana makes it almost as good as the original moxes. To me it beats the heck out of BoP.. -- By BenBuhler from Lethbridge, AB, Canada on April 26, 2002 |

The one Mox my friend had (the diamond) had to be the least valuable one, and I didn't know that. I ended up trading 3 Mutilates and a Foil Cromat for it. -- By Anonymous from West Chester, OH USA on July 09, 2002 |

I think that the discarding a land thing is just a minor setback, what if you were to have 2 mox diamonds in hand and say 3 lands, thats 3 mana first turn, I think it is just amazing. -- By justin from norman, OK on July 18, 2002 |

Sure, it's not classic Mox, but it nearly as useful. First turn multiple any colour mana, (play a land too), and you don't even have to lose any good cards from your hand...unless you are short on land. Remember the Paris rule when playing with this card. -- By F. G. D. W. from Potsdam NY on January 28, 2004 |

Whoever doesnt give this card five stars doesnt deserve to play magic. one of the best cards ever made. There is nothing like two counter spells first turn with Diamond -- By C.N. from Michigan on October 16, 2004 |

Just remember, folks. Wizards errata'd this card. The current Oracle text as of 10/20/05 is: "As an additional cost to play Mox Diamond, discard a land card. T: Add one mana of any color to your mana pool."
Ah, how I wish it still had the ability to be used as a sorcery-speed Lotus Petal; that's why I give it 4 stars instead of 5. -- By Kevin Baumberger from Gautier, MS on October 20, 2005 |

ok well this card is insanely good.....but....in 1 way its better than a regular mox and in 1 way its not
the way its better...is you can choose the mana u want...the way its not is u gotta discard a land thats the only thing keeping it from being worth hundreds....i mean u can get a mox...but if u dont got the right one you cant use it really.....if u have this....it dosent matter....its any color...but u gotta discard a land...which isnt really too bad. -- By John from death valley on January 03, 2008 |
