a bit better than 'persecute' i feel, although i play neither of these cards in my 1.5 monoblack deck. but i feel this is better for two reasons; one is its cheaper mana cost. and two, uh, yeah, its cheaper. i mean , you can 'dark ritual' this out first turn whereas 'persecute' is going to cost you an extra turn. all this cheap talk being said, this card's a little too risky for me, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't try a bite. i mean, i eat the same few things over and over again. in conclusion, a daring card for a daring player....................
