***** This is the keystone of "Oath", a Blue based combo/control deck in Vintage. The deck usually runs a package of 3 creatures and cheats them into play using this card (and Forbidden Oarchard if needed). Modern ('09-'10) Oath creatures are: Iona (Usually names blue), Terastodon (Blows up bad stuff or gives you a lot of elephants), Emrakul (Annihilator 6, can't be hit with Swords to Plowshares), Inkwell Leviathan (Shroud), Sphinx of Steel Wind(Beats aggro). Although Inkwell and Sphinx are usually only used if the deck also has Tinker in it. Oath has won tournaments in every format it was legal in since 1998, wins them now in Vintage, and barring a restriction will win them in the future. Simply put: BEST. GREEN. CARD. EVER.

***** HA! If I ever play a deck with this card in it I putting four creatures in it. Darksteel Colossus. Four of them and no other creatures.

***** This card can make one of the most powerful Magic decks. Here is the deck check it out. (B=Blue, G=Green, W=White, A=Artifact) Creatures(3): 1 Morphling(B), 1 Spike Feeder(G), 1 Spike Weaver(G). Spells (34): 1 Abundance(G), 1 Aura of Silence(W), 4 Brainstorm(B), 4 Counterspell(B), 1 Disrupt(B), 4 Enlightened Tutor(W), 1 Forbid(B), 4 Force of Will(B), 2 Gaea's Blessing(G), 3 Impulse(B), 1 Ivory Mask(W), 1 Null Rod(A), 2 Oath of Druids(G), 2 Swords to Plowshares(W), 2 Sylvan Library(G), 1 Trade Routes(B). Land (23): 1 Adarkar Wastes, 1 Faerie Conclave, 3 Flood Plain, 2 Island, 1 Savannah, 3 Treetop Village, 4 Tropical Island, 4 Tundra, 4 Strip Mine. This is one of many variations of this deck. Unfortunately several of these cards are now banned. In my opinion this is the most powerful version of this deck.

***** Here's how the first post should read: When used properly this card can really be useful. On the second turn you should end up with an Akroma, Angel of Wrath or Darksteel Colossus or something else really powerful. Anyone want a 6/6 flying first strike trampler (attacking) on the second turn?

***** Oh no! Imagine combining this with Forbidden Orchard!

***** The best blue card ever. Yes I know its green but this is the single most amazing control card in extended and my personal favorite.

***** Ahhhhhh....behold the power of the Oath of Druids deck. Here's the deck, take Oath of Druids, keep taking out cards from your library until you find a creature.......(Spirit of the Night? Verdant Force?) and put that bad boy into play. Then, if you were lucky enough to find Gaea's Blessing, put all those cards you just dumped into your graveyard, and throw them back into the library. Totally vicious.... If you play a deck like this, be sure to have 4 Oath of Druids!

***** When used properly this card can really be useful. On the third turn you could end up with a thorn elemental or avatar of might or something else really powerful. Anyone want an 8/8 trampler (or better) on the third turn?
