***** I can't think of a time that this can't be useful. I'm not sure of the timing rules on this card, but we might just have a white counterspell. You know, its and instant that can be played on the stack *after* somebody casts something henious. Even if the timing rules prohibit that it is just supremely useful at slowing just about any type of deck, save red burn (and white can definitely deal with red burn). I probably shouldn't even say all this since I want to pick up as many as I can myself...

*** Orim's Chant 101

In response to the last review it is not a white counterspell. Orims chant merely stops a player from adding spells to the stack. Any spell on the stack after and before orim's chant is still going to resolve. So if I play a Disenchant on my freind's Teferi's Moat and in response he cast an Orim's Chant. What's going to happen besides him not being my freind anymore is that if all players are done adding spells to the stack then the stack starts to resolve. 1. Orim's chant resolves which means I can no longer add spells to the stack. 2. My disenchant resolves and teferi's moat is destoryed. All Orim's Chant is, is the new Abeyance.

***** You can also consider it the new time walk. It also helps you set off a combo just like abeyance wich is the best reason to play either of them cause if you play a combo or a blue deck itself you know how annoying blue can be (why it is my favorite color)

***** Anytime you control your opponent's turn, plus control your opponent's combat phase, that is a VERY good thing. Orim's Chant basically says,

***** I love this card! I play it in my (otherwise) mono-blue combo deck, using Isochron Scepter to play it. Use it during their upkeep, never let them play their spells again! (And with two on Scepters, one for their upkeep, one for yours! Now that's a lock!)

***** 2 words: Isochron Scepter Your opponent will never be able to cast spells, or attack! Unless they have instant artifact removal. Otherwise its a lockdown!

***** perhaps one of the most broken, annoying and downright powerful white cards *EVER* to be printed. This card is a WHITE TIME WALK FOR LESS CASTING COST!! and it can be put on a stick. someone in R&D was sleeping when this got printed.. lets see, during your upkeep, Chant you, ok, your draw, play a land, go...during your upkeep, chant you, ok draw, play a land, go...wash and repeat. the only way to beat it, is to counter it plain and simple. if your playing vintage thru extended and dont have 4 of these, well, somethings wrong. this card will easily double in price over the next year or 2. I compare this card to the likes of Balance, Land Tax, mabie even Wrath of God..

***** all you need is this on a stick (isochron scepter) and your opponent cant bother you anymore

***** oh my god this is the best white ever created. this card is basiclly like a time walk. I personlly use it in my SepterChant deck. this card is broken I give it a 5out of 5

***** Powerful, very powerful. Defense, counter wall-breaker, extra turn, all in one card. Sure it's not a counterspell, it can't say "No, you may not!"; but it can certainly say "OK, that's enough!" Sometimes it can even deal some damage. Imagine chanting someone during his/her upkeep, who just mana drained you last turn. "It's not about the cards; it's about using them."

***** eveyone is missing the piont just imprint orims chant on an isachron scepeter if they dont destroy it they basically lose the game i have a blue-white controll deck and i nearly almost win all my matches with the isachron scepter/orims chant combo

***** {outside of the p-9}, i truly believe that Orim's Chant is the single most electrifying vintage white card in the game. the sceptor chant combo is great. i love it!

***** Yea its a great card. Is it broken? Maybe. The game provides for a lot of ways to deal with this card...mostly when it is on an Isochron. That is what your sideboard is for. Nevertheless...Orim's Chant is sweet.

***** I have used Orim's Chant now in my blue control deck with Isochron and I can't begin to tell you how many countless times I have frusterated my opponents by denying their turn, turn after turn.

***** No matter how I see it, it is the #1 control and anti control card around. This card almost guarantees advantage at all instances, better than counterspell (You just need to cast this at beginning of opponent's turn, and there's no worry for you at all. And, remember the kicker possibility!) Basically you can use this card either in critical situations to save yourself (from creatures and/or storm decks), and or for finish offs (you don't want your opponent to cast instant spells in your finish-off attempt). I personally rate it even above the card balance, which many regarded as #1 white card.

***** one of the best card's ever, as close to a modern power nine card as we will ever get
  -- By Anonymous from sudbury,ontario,canada on January 05, 2008
**** This is a very good card, the new abeyance. But this and scepter aren't a perfect lockdown. I beat some scepter chant deck with krosan grip, his Split Second ability is faster than tapping scepter . However is very good and solid. Now it is used in extended meta in enduring ideal deck making sure your ideal will not be countered ( it used boiseiju too, of course). 4 out of 5, is very very good

***** THIS IS THE BEST CARD. ITS LIKE A TIMEWALK FOR WHITE. IS USE FOR IN ALL OF MY WHITE AND TYPE 1 DECKS. PLUS PUT IT ON AN SCEPTER AND BAM LOCK DOWN.
-- By charlie from OREGON, USA on March 18, 2008
***** lol if you see isocron scepter drop and this card get imprinted on it you should just concede defeat like a dignified man excuse your self to the bathroom and cry like a baby. assuming you cant counter it which you never seem to be able to do when you need to. i hate this card but its like gfg
-- By about blank from http://About:blank on June 09, 2008
***** This card is so hectic! Oh my word! Broken broken broken! If you have to ask yourself: "Will this card ever be reprinted?" and the answer is "no", then you know how supremely overpowered it is. However the key to beating it, is destroying the scepter: Aura of Silence, anyone?
