The Prophecy booster packs each contain 15 cards (1 rare, 3 uncommon, and 11 commons) from one of the best sets recently released. In it you are given the great rystic power theme of Prophecy, which is if your opponent can't pay the extra mana costs for your cards, you can inflict great deals of pain and damage upon your opponent and his creatures while your opponent remains unable to pay the extra mana to stop you. Also with the chance to possibly pull from the pack one of the five big creature cards from the deck, the five famed avatars, one for each color, with awsome powers to help you win. All in all, it is a fantastic buy for anyone looking to extend their Magic: The Gathering game or for anyone just begginning, and I would highly recommend it. -- By Paul from Philadelphia, PA USA on June 23, 2001 |

Prophecy was the only really good set out of the Mercadian Masques block. Avatar of Woe is completely broken, and some of the rystic spells are awesome. I would suggest buying these before you bother with Mercadian Masques or Nemisis. -- By Sean from Riverside, Ca on February 17, 2003 |
