Great card. Use with [Abundance]and a deck full of land. 3 Seismic Assault 3 Abundance 4 Treasure Hunt 50 Lands = (4 reliquary towers + some creature lands) pretty fun deck.

this doesn't combo with curcible of worlds. Crucible lets you put lands into play, they need to be in your hand to be discarded to Seismic Assault. Sorry to burst your bubble, but you should let your friend know that you couldn't have won that game

While you cannot do that Jaya Ballard trick, as mentioned, this card is indeed an excellent play. Most red burn decks run out of steam very quickly and cards like Browbeat can only get a player so far (especially when the opponent chooses damage over card drawing). Seismic Assault allows a burn deck to turn every land draw into a free shock. Combine with Manabarbs, Furnace Of Rath, and many cheap burn spells, and you'll have a solid deck.

Awesome card with Jaya Ballard. Use her ability to discard a card to deal damage, then add 2 more for the Seismic.

Life from the Loam and this are awesome together. 6 damage a turn for 2 mana. Drop the Birds of Paradise first turn using a stomping grounds, and you have yourself a turn 2 assault. On turn 3, begin the burn.
