***** What do you mean it's not that great... it IS great compare this to stone rain 2R fissure 3RR or any other detroy target land card there is no card that cheap as Sinkhole. Sinkhole BB, make a black red destruction deck bye bye land.

***** The best Destroy Land Card ever made. A must see in Vintage Destroy Land Decks.

***** A staple of Suicide Black, and it IS that good. Disrupting your opponent's mana base for BB is MUCH better than 1BB or some crap like that, because for Suicide Black, every turn counts. I recommend this card for any Black mage looking to build a Suicide Black deck.

***** Incredibly disruptive, excellent against control decks.

***** What a beautifull card, pretty strong in a defensive deck.

***** Second turn lock down. 2 black mana to destroy any land. One the best commons in the game.
-- By Chris from San Diego CA on January 19, 2005
***** What do you mean it isn't that great? How many other black cards do you know of that will get rid of land? It's the only black card I can think of that can destroy a land. For two mana at that! Think, if you have a black land, a dark ritual, and a sol ring in your hand off the draw, you're gonna have a kick-ass first turn!

***** Second only to Strip Mine.

***** best land distruction card ever!!!!!!!!

***** I prefer this over Strip Mine/Wasteland because you don't lose a land(something suicide black always needs early) and it's not restricted. Do you have any idea how much stall you can put your opponent through with this, while you bash away at their life with a Phyrexian Negator? Let's say they start out with 2 land in their hand, you destroy one of them with Sinkhole, now they can't play 70% of spells in their library until they get another land. Even if it's next turn, you should've played Hymn to Tourach or Duress anyways. Just to demonstrate, here's a situation: Turn 1: Island(6 cards in hand) Turn 2: Swamp, Dark Ritual, Duress, Sinkhole See? Now Sinkhole reads "You go 1st"

***** Come on people! You really don't see the power of this card? Unquestionably the best....THE BEST...land destruction card in the game. Only other card that comes close is Stripmine, but even it doesn't compare. You see, stripmine destroys a land for no mana investment, but it costs you a land drop. Sinkhole doesn't. In the long run, it doesn't really do much for you (unless you luck out and they get mana screwed), but in the short term, it basically costs your opponent a turn, and in Vintage, that's a huge cost, 'nough said.
