I would give this 5 stars if it had trample. Since it doesn't, it can be chump blocked.

this card works well in my red and green beast deck. As you play it you can retrieve a dragon fangs and shove a couple of granite grips onto it. Whispersilk cloak and fireshreiker will go well with this card. (does anyone know of a card to prevent this from fading?????????????)

This card is awsome! It's great for inflicting heavy damage on your opponent. But it's only good for one turn, so use this card wisely.

It's a pretty good card but if it had reckless charge it would be even better but come on Fading 2 you can do better than that!

This card can be quite effective in a deck containing creatures like Seeker of Skybreak and Stampeding Serow combined with Fires of Yavimaya or Instill Energy and the ever present Rancor for example. The turn he's summoned you untap him and give him trample and he can attack straight away.

Once he's about to fade you play Stampeding Serow and put him back in your hand along with the Rancor you cast on him.

If this was 6 mana to summon I might be more tempted to use him as he would then a have a reliable chance of being bought into play on my 3rd turn. The 7 mana means unless you get a very lucky draw he won't be out until turn 4. And if you do get him out this early you aren't going to have spare mana to get Rancor on him which means he could be chump blocked his first turn. An answer to this could be something like Brawn or Dragon Fangs.

This guy can be fun in friendly games but your mana is better spent elsewhere on most occasions.

What? 10/10 for 7 mana? give it a rancor and watch your opponent cry (shame it will only last you 2 turns)

I mistakingly put this card in a Mayael the Anima EDH deck. It's fairly mediocre. He'd be playable if he had trample or flying, but as is he is mediocre to crap. There are better 7 drops.

This is not a very good card. Sure it's a 10/10, but it has one turn to deal damage and doesn't even have trample, so there's a good chance it won't end up doing anything. There are better ways to spend 7 mana than this.

I am actually befuddled as to why anyone even gave this card a remote thought. Honestly, so you pay your 7 mana for a 10/10 that comes into play tapped. Then your next turn comes around... and if you are lucky, you might actually get to deal damage with it. I guess no one in the history of God has ever heard of a chump block. Oh well. Moral of story, this card is dumb and should light itself on fire.
