What's not to like here? It's been a Type 1 card for some time now, so it's virtually always going to be a 2/3. I mean, I can't remember a time that I played against a Type 1 deck and didn't see a board covered with non-basic land. It's awesome to drop a Taiga on turn 1 and summon a 2/3 Kird Ape, and this card is just as powerful. If your opponent has a dual land in his/her opening hand, they will play that first, but even in the worst case scenario, you paid G for a 1/1 that has a very high likelihood of becoming a 2/3 later.
