amazing...with a gemhide, heart sliver, and a hearthstone you can make infinite tokens on their end step then either attack or use victual, tap them all for mana then sac them all for 4 life a piece lol. it's satisfying to have 4 million life, 1 million sliver tokens, sliver legion, and either an overrun or even better, the trample sliver. then only attack with 1 token lol.

with the new mana slivers this card is no longer a problem to play. you have all the colors and if you are like me and run 4 colors in a deck. you just need the mana sliver and BOOM you got the mana of your choice

those of you who say 5 different colors is too much 4 this card. all you need is Ancient Ziggurat. or just a simple gemhide sliver. Also this card works great with a heart stone,Gemhide, and heart sliver you can produce infinante slivers.

This card is insane when combo-ed with Heartstone and Ashnod's Alter. The Combo is that Heartstone reduces Sliver Queens mana ability down by one, but can't go below one though. Next Ashnod's alter sacrifice a sliver token and add 2 colorless mana to your manapool. use the 2 mana to activate Sliver Queen's ability 2 more times and you get 2 sliver tokens you can repeat this combo for infinite creatures and mana. Oh and to make it even deadlier is Sliver Legion, 4 coat of arms, and 4 sculpting steel = all slivers get +9/+9 for every other sliver in play. Which = Death.

I hear people complaining about how the Queen cost 1 of each mana. Get over it. There's plenty of cards that give you any color mana. Gemhide Slivers, Gemstone Mines, Ancient Ziggurat, the Vivid lands, Channel the Suns, Mycosynth Lattice, and my personal favorite: Crystal Quarry.

And there are ways to play her without paying the 5 mana. Discard her from your hand, then play a card that returns her to play. (Resurrection, Dread Return, etc)

The Queen is easily one of the best Slivers made. Have two out at the same time, then good things happen. (it can be done)

You use this card as part of a combo in a sliver deck. I had it in a five color deck that took two years to work out the mana on (lots of dual lands, plus I had joiner adept in there, which helped). With the new gemback sliver *I think that's the name* running a five color deck shouldn't be too bad. Anyways, using this with hearstone and ashnod's altar gives you unlimited 1/1 colorless slivers in one turn, and if you have a sliver that gives them haste, that explains the use of this card. I sold my sliver deck...none of my friends would play against me with it, which took the fun out of it for me. I don't play in tournaments, but that deck was my baby and I'm thinking of rebuilding it...modified a little bit with some new slivers, though :D

A simple playset of Gemhide Slivers, and you've got Sliver Queen on the battlefield in no time. She's black, so Doom Blade & Terror won't harm her; and she's big, so burn spells will have trouble taking her down.

I seriously doubt that anyone is going to read this comment, but if you want to play with Sliver Queen, do the easiest thing and buy a playset of Gemhides along to go with her. She's a terrorfying monster, and very little can stop her when you've got a Gemhide sliver and a Hearth Sliver/Firewake Sliver/Reflex Sliver on the battlefield.
I think; the only thing Slivers need is an Indestructible Sliver. Other than that, Slivers harness just about every ability in Magic:
Trample, First Strike, Double Strike, Flying, Swampwalk, static +x/+x abilities, activated +x/+x abilities, tapping for mana, Shroud, Flash, tap to deal damage, Lifelink, Poisonous, Absorb, Frenzy, Provoke, Slivercycling, Protection from any color, Vigilance, self sacrificing, Regenerate, can't be countered, summoning tokens, Deathtouch, destroy artifact/enchantment, "Fungus" ability (get's +1/+1 counters whenever they take damage), Flanking, Curiosity, whenever blocked it gets +1/+1 for each creature blocking it, Vampire ability, turns colorless, Shadow, Fateseal, "Illusion" ability (can change creature type), can't be blocked except by slivers, Reach, taps to tap other permanents, and "can't be blocked except by 2 or more creatures".

Phew, I recon that was all of them... Well, if anyone needed to know why the Slivers are so good, just look at the list; why would creatures that are able to share so many abilities not be good?

Queen sliver is second to none, the next best would be brood sliver. Brood sliver doesn't take mana and can let your slivers grow exponentially, but the downside is it has to deal damage to the player.
Another point to all the people bashing on 5 color decks. For sliver you can us ancient ziggurat and solve that problem. Plus all the tri color lands like crumbling necropolis and savage lands. The biggest point has to be gemhide sliver though.

Anyone who thinks this card is crap is a complete and utter moron. Yes you can get it our a million different ways, you dont need one of each land. But if you take 2 little easy to play cards called Heartstone and Ashnods Altar, what do ya have there? Exactly, you can get out a infinite slivers with this card. Its one of several stand-alone, game winning cards. Learn to play, idiots.

great card i have 2 sliver decks and they decimate well. And for those of you that cant handle a 5 color deck ,your still amatuer players. Some of the best decks ever built are rainbow.i have no problems pulling mana and getting my creatures out.just gotta remember on top of yer normal mana toss in a few thran dynamos. Usually by the 6th turn i have either this card or the sliver legion in the field.

So easy to win with this in a sliver deck. A couple of mox diamonds and some basic lands, add some life cards and lots of slivers, heart stone and ashnods altar. If you really want to see that glazed over look on your opponents face, drop Aluren and mana flare down. Never lost with this deck, even against very expensive enduring renewal decks.

Best card EVER, this Sliver Queen + Reflex/Heart Sliver + Gemhide Sliver = Infinant Slivers + Sliver legion/coat of arms = they have infinant strangth and toughness. Through in a fire ball for infinant damage to everything or a Biorhythem to gain infinant health.

Infinite Sliver producing combo, Sliver Queen with a reflex/heart sliver, gemhide sliver, and a tangleroot or doubling season. tangleroot gives one green mana when a creature comes into play under your control, so tap the just played sliver and use the one mana you got for playing it. this puts out another and the cycle repeats or doubling season, pay 2 get 2 1/1 slivers tap to get 2 more and so on, infinite sliver combo for the win...how bout throwing in Sliver Legion or playing Coat of Arms???????

The only drawback to putting a Sliver Queen in your Sliver deck is that no one will want to play you! It takes a pretty fast deck to take out slivers before they have multiplied and shared abilities, most decks I have played the slivers against cant unless Im having serious mana issues and not pulling any gemstones either (gotta have 3-4 of those in a sliver deck that utilizes all colors)
0

no drawback on this card when you run timespirals gemhide sliver, where all slivers have tap sliver for one mana of any color of your choice. Sliver Queen with the two other sliver legends gives a powerful, destroying kick to any sliver deck.

This card, combined with the Mana Echoes, creats quite a powerhouse (essentially an infinite loop of mana to use for sliver tokens) that is absolutely evil in a sliver deck.

The biggest downside IS its 5 color cost, but the whole point of that is so it is not easy to bring out, and its power justifies it.

An even better card with the new timespiral slivers out! With gemhide sliver in my deck I've been able to get her out as early as turn three! Plus there's an easy combo that can trigger if you have the right slivers out that I've pulled off many times. Basal Sliver, Heart Sliver, Gemhide Sliver and the queen for infinite slivers and as many mana of any color as you need to play other spells in your hand (like coat of arms) That is if you don't think swinging with infinite slivers at infinity/infinity with haste is overkill.

This is in my opinion one of the best Magic The Gathering cards out there. Not only does it compliment a sliver deck very nicely, but the art work on the card itself is exquisite. I myself haave four copies of it, and I keep them in very good condition as well as play them in decks.

Whoever says that this card is a bad card needs to try and beat my Sliver deck! I have all five colors out by the time a few turns comes by, and with my slivers unblockable and having at least 4 tokens coming out every turn, protection from red, black, and blue... Nearly unbeatable! I have only been stomped upon by a deck of my own creation, which was a blue/black discard deck.

3 card combo: sliver queen, ashnod's altar, and heartstone. infinite 1/1 tokens. with things like heart sliver(haste) and crystalline sliver(can't be targeted) it makes for a great deck. but when it comes to the "color drawback" people keep complaining about, i find that 4 of each color with 4 farseeks and 4 rampant growths and a few birds of paradise, it makes the color thing a non-issue.

this card is Great i have sliver deack and the only problem i have is that my deck is 2 turns slower that any of my oppents but wen the 5-6th turns comes along i would have my sliver queen or my sliver overlord out with my duel lands or with my dragon arc. and plus if u have mana ecos u will win the game pretty no matter what!!! the only problem i have is that i dnt have that many tokens lol. GREAT CARD

I'm pretty sure that this is the first five-color creature ever printed in Magic. Oh, but the card itself? Awesome! This 7/7 sliver is only going to get bigger, and with a horde of other slivers in play, its ability is like making a Akroma's for 2 mana. Oh, and its WUBRG mana cost - just look through the Invasion, Plains Shift, Apocalypse, and/or Fifth Dawn sets, you'll find a good mana-fixer.

AWESOME!!!!!!! This guy builds up your slivers no time!!! Sure, u say, 1/1 colorless?? Yes, but they're SLIVERS. They can easily become 4/4's with protection from everything, unblockable, life-gaining, card-drawing, and card-discarding slivers. this one does the job of Brood sliver, only better and more reliably.
This card, u want to build your sliver deck around.
Also, did i mention that it's a 7/7 for only five mana?? Whooooo yah.

sliver queen always has been and always will be one of my favorite cards. there are so many efficient ways to use it in many kinds of decks. There is the ashnod's alter-heartstone combo, (infinite mana + creatures) mana echoes, pulse of lanowlar, a much ignored card which has great potential in 5 color, dragon arch, belbes portal, elvish piper, sliver decks in general, dual lands, chrome mox, city of brass, etc!

Simply the best sliver there is, no matter the format. For those of you folks who feel the five color mana cost is poor, just use other ways to play (ie Recursion, or put into play effects).

Now, as for the usefulness . . .here are some good combos:

Sliver Queen+Ashnod's Altar+Heartstone = infinite slivers.

Add Heart Sliver = instant attack
Citanul Hierophants = inf. green mana
Goblin Bombardment = inf. Damage

With the new slivers, the list just goes on! Plus with the new Overlord, you can get her whenever you want!

This card is the best. She just got a huge help with the new slivers in legions. Throw in some mana echoes and coat or arms and pay two and you get infinite slivers with infinite power and toughness. Use a hunter sliver with a toxin sliver and an essance sliver and you just killed every one of their creatures and not to mention just got an infinite amount of life. Just try and beat that. If you ever face it you will lose no matter what you try to do.

now look at john finkel's deck when he won in 2000 all i am saying is that all you need is a two color deck(any color) and a few goloms from the invasion series (like treva's attendant) to put it in play. the mana builders like the thran dynamo can put out the slivers you need in a hurry. i also know that there is an enchantment out there that can protect it from all colors!
unstopible if you ask me!

This card has won me many games. I have twenty dual lands in my sliver deck so five colors is no object. It is, as previously stated, good with coalition victory. However I use it in conjuction with a winged sliver a horned sliver and the most annoying of all, or so I have been told, the crystalline sliver. It is great with the heart stone by itself. Then add a Ashnods Alter for infinite slivers. Then put that with the mindwhip or mnemonic for infinite discarding and infinite draw ing. But best of all with the victual or acidic sliver for infinite life and damage. This deck is probobly the most feared deck I play with and it's just fun. Did I mention COAT OF ARMS.

The best of the best! The only drawback is the five color casting cost. Dragon Arch is probably the best way I can think of to cure that. With the five color advantage cards in invasion this is one of the best cards you can buy (especially in a sliver deck!).

To the guy from St. Peters, your combo is nice, but it is not an infinite combo. Your slivers would need haste as well so you could tap the tokens immediately. Otherwise you would run out of mana. Sorry to burst your bubble. It's still a nice combo, though

This card is an absolute staple for any Sliver deck that a) uses 5 colors or b) uses any amount of green. Heck, I've built mono-green Sliver decks that use the Sliver Queen (and the Overlord, and the Legion besides). (To all the hurf-durfers saying "5 colors lol": Gemhide Sliver. You will fear my squadron of 5/5 trampling Birds of Paradise.) You could probably even find uses for it outside of a Sliver deck--any deck that could use an infinite supply of 1/1s, though playing it could still be rough.

It is better to use Basal Sliver instead of Ashnod's Altar in the infinite sliver combo. It accomplishes the same thing while adding to your sliver count as well.

Gemhide Sliver pretty much takes care of any problems you have with this card being 5 colours. I play nothign but slivers, but I don't use this one too often simply because I have better uses for a slot then a big sliver (hell, by the time I drop a Brood Sliver it's usually 9/7 anyways :P)

And I agree, a lot of people who talk about slivers being "noob" need to paly somebody who knows HOW to play a REAL sliver deck.

Exellent combo potential, and much more feasable now with the Gemhide sliver. Beware in sliver vs sliver decks, Overlord will swipe her right out from under your nose. Crystalline sliver is also a must.

Who needs a multi-colour deck for slivers?.......

worldgorger dragon deck;

turn one: swamp, dark ritual, buried alive a sliver queen, and a worldgorger dragon with an ambassador laquatus

turn two: swamp, animate dead or dance of the dead, infinite mana loop with worldgorger, then use the same animate dead/dance of the dead on sliver queen for infinite slivers, and you could use a drain life for infinite as well.

that's game.

Am I missing something? One reviewer from Canada says that you can get this out on your first turn by playing fastbond, then entomb, then zombify. However, combined with the 6 lands needed to play these three cards, this is a total of 9 cards needed in your hand. Either I am missing something, or it cannot be done on turn 1 this way with this combo of cards

any card that has 5 different mana symbols in its cost is not worth playing regardless of what it does.

This card just sucks! One of every type of mana is too much. My goblin-burn deck could kill a sliver deck in 4 turns.

what kind of s*!* head would use a 5 color deck... i mean that is downright stupid to have a 5 color deck , youl never have the mana needed to use alot of cards, plus alot of cards a certain type of mana helps them... and if you only have about 4 of every type... put it this way anyone who wants a 5 color deck should w--- off!
