This card is WAY overpowered, and is probably the reason Wizards has never reprinted it. If they made a sorcery like this, it seems it could be maybe affordable.

I had a deck with 4 of this card and 4 of survival of the fittest.
however this combo is in play, I always win! discards squee for emrakul and swing for 15 + annihilator 6...
mwahahaha....
definetely worth the price!

There are very few cards that deserve a 5 star rating, and this is one of them. The idea I had was to pair this with Teferi's Veil, which says "Whenever a creature you control attacks, that creature phases out at end of combat." Instead of having to sac your big creature, it simply phases out, then phases back in next turn for some more fun. EVIL! Sneak Attack is an outstanding card with tons and tons of combo potential. A bit rough on the wallet, though.

In the right deck this is unbeleievable. Where Ancients Tread, Erratic Portal, Kokusho, Bogardan Hellkite...and now Eldrazi. Explains the massive price jump

Very nice. Useful with Wild Pair for doubling your pleasure.

this card is obviously just really, really broken. I mean, just use it in a deck with ridiculously huge but expensive creatures, some counterspells such as cryptic command, a couple wrath of gods so that your darksteel colossuses are never blocked...and plenty of card drawing (Compulsive Research and Tidings)

Had to say this too...

Everyone that talks about first turn kills list 7 cards... How many cards do play in your hand?!

If you draw all seven cards you need out of an 80 card deck you need to go to Vegas and play poker! I can't even begin to tell you the odds of that! That's the Royal Flush of all Royal Flushes!!!!

For you guys reading these reviews to decide to purchase this card, take the 1st turn kill combos with a grain of salt.

In my opinion, the best card in Magic.

So many combo's to leave your partner half smiling and half open jawed. It may not be a first turn kill, but what is the point of that? If you want to win first turn play Rock...Paper...Scissors! I play to have fun, and this card is very much for that.

It's powerful, fun, and different; just plain awesome, all I can say. I really wish it was a -2R- or a -RR- card though...

This ..... is ........ absolutely inzane!!!! most overpowered card I've EVER seen!! O__O
I've heard people talking 'bout Sneak Attack, but I always thought it to be a deck strategy, much less a card... This is absolutely stunning, and really, REALLY FRIGGIN MIGHTY!!

Don't forget about things like Solemn Simulacrum, Mystic Snake, Hoverguard Sweepers (which are insane with this card) or any other creature with a comes into play ability.

Sneak attack rocks like nothing else. having being able to get a second turn kill with seething songs and trant dragons is sooooooo flippin Kickin. every good deck involving big beefy critters needs at least one

ok now honestly this is a very good card but its even better with the combo im about to tell you pay attention..... ok first you need the sneak in play and a skyshroud elf and an ashnods alter.
In your hand you will need either a wetherseed treefolk or a shivan pheonix play either one of those creatures with the sneak then sac it to the alter giving you 2 mana then it comes back to your hand with one of the two mana pay 1 colorless to the elf and make a red mana play the tree folk again and sac it agian repet this process for infinite mana then cast a fireball or stream of life and watch your opponet pick up his cards and crawl away. If this is confusing get the cards out and play around with them untill you figure it out its very fun in muiltiplayer and very fun just to have gl n hf with this

Sneak Attack is one of my favorite cards. It is a very well made and solid card to play with and I even have a deck built around it. Sneak Attack is very strong and can even lead to a third turn win by using Sneak Attack/Dark Ritual/3xThorn Elemental. Sneak Attack can also be used to bring out surprise blockers to stop your opponents attack. I really love Sneak Attack and hope to see it played more often I think it is a great card!!!

just wanted to write my personal combo(s) from days of yore. although i haven't played with this card in a long, long time. but when i did, i believe some of the linchpins were 'academy rector', 'angelic chorus', and 'altar of dementia' along with various and assorted fatties. i believe i also played with 'grim monolith' although i think today its restricted. so i don't know if that could be replaced easily although i would probably put some green mana weenies in if i had to do it again today...........
