***** Broken - infringed or violated. I think this works best as a dictionary definition since every time I play tinker I feel like I'm violating my opponent. Looks like Colossus is no longer the weapon of mass destruction used by vintage though, currently it's either Sphinx of the Steel Wind or Inkwell Leviathan. Either way, if Tinker resolves, bad things will happen to your opponent.

***** Combine with the artifact lands for a really fast kill: 1st turn: Tree of Tel-Jilad, Llanowar Elf 2nd turn: Seat of the Synod, Tinker into, say, a Darksteel Colossus 3rd turn: Seat of the Synod, attack with Darksteel Colossus, cast Beserk = win? :b - of course, beserk is pretty expensive, so you might as well call it a 4th turn kill, assuming you don't have the beserk, and that your opponent doesn't cast something which pacifies your Darksteel Colossus, such as Pacifism, Journy to Nowhere, Path to Exile or Oblivion Ring for that matter... As a general description, I think we can all agree on calling this one broken.

***** Alas, the most broken card ever printed on MTG!

***** HOLY CRAP! $3 for a non foilie and $30 for a foilie! Well it looks like im in luck with collecting a ton of these when they first came out, 8 regular and 5 foiled, well geuss ill have to take four out of a deck then. BEST card for a turn 2 Darksteel Colosuss!

***** Anyone who rates this card less than 5 stars is an idiot.

***** Black Lotus+Tinker=Darksteel Colossus Turn 1 lol. And even if you don't have $1,000 it's still really fast.

***** Awesome card, can easily turn your cheap/free creatures like Frogmites into Darksteel Forge, Mycosynth Golem, or Colossus. For those of you who like to spice it up with unhinged cards, Mox Lotus or Gleemax anyone? Though this is a rather cheap card, as it can = win, but what the heck? right?

***** There is a reason why this is restricted in type 1 and banned in legacy. It is easily the most broken tutor ever printed and when it resolves it usually means good game. Turn 1 darksteel collossus? Mindslaver? ravager? tangle wire? all possible with this.

***** The possibilites for this card are great. I can put out a beast of burden at the cost of any cheap 0 or 1 cost artifact. Not to mention the miriad of other artifacts that could be brought into use.

* What in the hell is this ???....tinker with a gold symbol ???....

-- By Phil from Canada on November 20, 2004

***** sacrifice an ornithopther or a spellbook and get a killer-machine on the board on turn 3

***** The best blue card that deals with artifacts, EVER!

-- By GRIM_REAPER from Mount Vernon, WA on December 04, 2003

***** A card in it's element. Three artifact heavy sets in Mirrodian, Dark Sun and 5th dawn with hundeds of artefacts to play with and chump creators like Nuisence Engine abusive combinations abound. This card is smack in it's most useful period use it in style

**** darnit, looks like i'm going to have to give up that urza's Bauble for my Masticore. Dern. *snickers* Great card, really.

-- By Rob from Troy, TN USA on October 13, 2002

***** this is the best card ever i think. You can trade a artifact that you do not need for one that is hidden within your deck. Great card a must buy for any deck that has problems with getting out artifacts.
