Befoul is an extremly versatile card. This wonderous card can eliminate an annoying creature such as Thorn Elemental or destroy a powerful land such as Darigaaz's Caldera or City of Brass, slowing them down. Creatures provide the most simple way to kill an opponent, but without creatures, a deck may suffer, esp. green. The land destruction is equally good. Players need lands to do anything, but if you manage to destroy their lands, they fall dangerously behind in the mana race. What happens then? They have less responses and their ability to counterattack is crippled. Befoul is a versatile card and versatility is good. -- By Mike Thiel from Stephen's City, VA USA on June 24, 2001 |

befoul is an ok card. the cost can be hard for what it does. in my opinion, if u want land estruction, get a dwarven landslide or an earth rift. if u want creature destruction get a fear or a dark banishing. I would only recommand this card if ur really cramped for deck space. -- By Anonymous from CA on December 17, 2001 |
