**** lightning bolt is a better common. the best actually. most efficient burn spell ever printed (even though i only run one because i like blightning better in my deck)

***** This card is awesome, less cost, cheap price, and very very useful. I always bring four in my deck, great to open the game! Dark Ritual, Duress, Thoughtseize, and Extirpate!

-- By Anonymous from Vivid on November 16, 2010

***** Your opponent plays combo deck? Duress... Your opponent plays planeswalkers deck? Duress... Are you playing a combo deck? Duress... thanks to this classic card, it can disturb your opponent's movement and bring your movement more easy... for more fun, combine it with Extirpate....

***** Great card in early game. I always bring it four in my combo deck....

-- By John Verdian from Cleveland on June 30, 2010

***** This card is very cheap at the price, and very disturb opponent's movements!

***** Even not as strong as Thoughtseize, this card still kick serious butt! In the control deck, it's very useful to spy at opponent's hand and eat any counter on it!

-- By Anonymous from Bandung on June 30, 2010

***** Yeah, and this is better than Sinkhole.

-- By Clayton Potrzeba from E.G., RI on May 19, 2008

***** very good card, but wasn't sinkhole common?

  -- By Anonymous from sudbury,ontario,canada on April 14, 2008

***** Best common in the game, bar none. Eats Force Of Wills for breakfast.

-- By Rob from OK, USA on May 27, 2007

**** It's nice to see an old school card after writing that brutal review on Ravnica, but yes, this card is good. Especially the cost.

-- By Sage of the Order from Order Headquarters on November 24, 2005

**** just a good card first turn. and it can mess with any deck type. so what's not too like? except the fact you might get nothing(which if you built your deck right means your probably going to win anyway), but heck no big loss as something usually bites on the hook. which card artwise do you want to get? unless i'm mistaken , you have two versions to choose from, neither of which impress me much. so i'm not going to talk at length about it. this one, in my humble opinion, is slightly better.........

***** If you play a black deck in anything but type two, you need to run this card, or consider running it. It's very good
