i believe all the colors in this set got a creature enchantment that beefed them up (except for blue's which made them non-targetable). not bad , but i must say i never really play with creature enchantments as it just hurts the card advantage angle too much. i play eight 1.5 decks and i believe i play without a single creature enchantment. not even a 'rancor' or something like 'lightning greaves.' both excellent cards that i've played against but i tend to search for one card(a creature) with secondary abilities that conserve my card advantage. however, remember playing with this in the day but "doesn't tap to attack" and "haste" abilities are both slightly overrated in my opinion unless they're built into the creature for a decent mana cost.......... -- By Anonymous from gainesville, FL USA on February 17, 2005 |

Serra's Embrace is an okay card. It transforms a loser monster into a Serra Angel more or less, on that it'll get +2/+2, flying and vigilance. I think that the cost is a tad expensive for what it does, and the other colour variants of this enchantment tend to give the creature a little more bang for its buck, especially the red variant, which not only gives a red creature +2/+2 but flying (ability red is quite poor in) and the firebreathing effect. -- By rogonandi from Edmonton, AB Canada on March 29, 2007 |
