*** Cromat is a good card. But only in a five color deck. You can regenerate, give him +1,+1 and other helpful abilities. i think this card can be really good if u have the mana for it.

*** I know that the card is fairly awesome and has a good chance to win all by itself, but it's too hard to play and its abilities cost enough mana so that it couldn't quite rate a four.

Don't get me wrong, in the right decks, this guy is an absolute killer. After all, as long as you have mana out he can't be killed (return him to the top of your library) and he can decimate somebody's airforce. However, he's not quite the equal of a Sliver Queen, now is he? (those who are old hands are magic know why I say that)

However, he is invaluable for one simple reason ... Type 2 coalition victory deck. He can take the place of a Sliver Queen to meet one half of the requirements for a coalition victory and now you can make it fairly easy and still type two legal. Plus, he's potentially harder to kill than the sliver queen....

***** Cromat is an trualy amazing card. I have 4 in my green based 4 coler. Its not hard to Play, use cards like rampant growth, skyshroud elves, and harrow. with harrow and rampant you only need about 2-3 of all lands but forest. The best thng about cromat is its amazingly unpredictable, and it stays around for a while.

***** With all of the tricks that you can do with Cromat during the combat phase makes him basically an unbeatable creature.

***** This is my favorite card if you get alot of lands into play quick. Key word if. Thats why in my spectrum deck I use alot of harrows and fertile grounds. Those are to get out all of my lands needed to play it. Then I use and Eledarmines call to get it into my hand and keep it there untill I draw a Coalition Victory. Play Cromat then use a coalition Victory if that doesnt work by it getting countered I just use his ability to return it into my hand and wait for another coalition Victory. If I dont feel like wating around I just play it right away and beat the snot out of then with it and if I die, I j ust return it to my hand. To sum all this up this card is a necessity to any spectrum deck.

**** This is a great card, and not as hard to play as most think. dragon arch, defance of heart, piper, and quicksilver amulet come to mind right off the bat. If your deck is green based or has a lot of artifacts its pretty easy to come up with the colored mana needed to use its ablities. the only thing I really don't like about it is that you can have only one in your deck.

***** You want to really play cromat you build a nice little white deck through in four celestrial dawns, a couple of cromats and maybe a spirtmonger. That way you have the mana for his abilites at all times and are nearly unstoppable especialy if you play sterling groves so if they can trnquility you just search for another one to play. I can not tell you how many turnaments I have won with this deck.

** I dont think this card is that great because I dont like 5 color deck I personally my self like 2 or 3 color decks this card has to many mana to use for a 5 color deck.

***** This card may fool some people into thinking it can only be used in 5 color decks. But thats not a fact. You can use 5 birds of paradise, if you cannot obtain a basic land of each type. Also You can get it out with some special methods such as, Call of the Wild and Time ebb. Time ebb puts it on top of library and call of the wild allows it to storm into play and wreak havoc. Also with Green + Blue mana it can once again be returned to top of library. 'nuff said.
