Ahhh, Drain Life, that one card that does so much for so little. This card can throw the wrench into your opponent's magical war machine. Taking the health of your opponent's and adding it onto yours, this card can give the wise black mage time to respond. This card can help the wise player stall until he can get something useful by adding precious health points to their dying match. Or this card can be used as a stunning finisher. Finally, this card can help eradicate a pesky creature, also stealing health, making this card very versatile. Drain Life, a must have for any black player. -- By Mike Thiel from Stephen's City, VA USA on June 24, 2001 |

Awesome card. I expected the card to be in poorer condition and show up later. Troll and Toad mailed it in 4 days and it was in excellent shape. I will deffinitely be ordering from them in the future for all my singles needs. -- By David from Belleville, IL USA on July 15, 2002 |

I owe 2,000 dollars to this card. It made me beat Rico in the finals of a championship battle. Without it I would not have the title I hold today. Winning gave me 2,000 dollars so I owe this card just as much. It has a place beside my 32 trophies in my room for winning tournaments.
Magic Master reeks. I beat him without trying -- By Cameron from Spirit Lake, ID USA on December 15, 2002 |

Try this card with cabal coffers... lets say on the 8th turn. You could drainlife them for 14... and that is without any dark rituals or anything.. And only 1 cabal coffer out... Amazing combo. -- By Anonymous from Texas on March 07, 2003 |

i have a question for anyone who is willing to answer it. Its about this card. see i have a few of the Drain Life cards and im not to sure which ones they are. They both look like they could be from the summer set and the 3rd edition revised. so if someone could answer me that would be great. Thank You -- By Kurt from Philly, PA USA on December 10, 2004 |

This card is one of the reasons I got hooked on Magic way back in the mid-90's. Combined with a couple of dark
rituals, this card can not only take down almost any creature but it gives you life too! Kick Ass! -- By Jesse Schoenfuss from Altoona, WI USA on October 18, 2005 |

This is one of the cards that makes black so scary.
And if you want a little extra evil to the mix try combining those cabal coffers with the new planar chaos 'Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth.' and a couple Magus of the Coffers as well. And black mana storage is always sexy in combination.
Any way you look at this card it is an awesome, versatile, and fairly cheap card. It can be used in a desperate pinch to blast a little critter or be charged up for a game winning fatal blow. -- By DICKS McGEE from 7th sphere, Phyrexia on January 23, 2007 |
