***** This card holds a special place in my heart. Won many a game with the old Sengir back in the day. Amazing art. I was so excited to pull one in an ME4 draft, but I got mana flooded and lost in the first round and never got to play it :(

***** Back in the mid-90s when I started, this card was great. 1st turn - swamp, dark ritual, dark ritual, sengir vamp. 4/4 flier turn 1, to strong for bolt and force of will didn't exist yet! Solid.

*** A quality, beefy flier for its cost, Sengir Vampire might fit into an aggressive black deck (especially with Dark Rituals). Such a deck should probably top out at about 5 mana, so Sengir Vampire could be at the top of the food chain there, epecially after a board wipe the previous turn care of Damnation. There are more efficiently costed creatures, though.

***** it's a sengir vampire because it has the same attributes as baron sengir, like the bats, it gets +1/+1 if it kills a creature. this card is awesome, my 3 friends run 4 of them in black and blue decks and it's usually almost always out in a couple of turns with dark ritual, throw in a norritt and it makes one of my guys have to attack.

***** Everyone knows a sengir's math is beyond excellent, but this card is all about the picture. Ansons' sengir is almost unavoidably white bordered and new sengir's appear as some kinda magical blood-crazed crack-head, even devoid of the bloodline's signature hair. But this card, this card LOOKS like a Sengir Vampire. Jeff Easley drives it home, with what I can only call the definitive picture of what family Sengir's children should look like.

***** Is classic. Is the best and a card legend in each edition Is the bestĦĦĦĦĦ

***** give'm sinstrikers will in a white black deck with death pits of rath. eithr this dude gets bigger, or your opponent wont attack or block. and as for stalking bloodsucker, hes a strong flyer, but requires cards to discard, which takes a tad of flexibility.

**** Good card but against some of the other newer cards out and the mono black deck i have it would do nothing at all to me. i don't care how big it gets cause i thrive off my creatures being killed off. and any hard core magic player knows thats how black is suppose to work. Either mono black suicide or mono black your creatures die in the process of killing your enemy. simple as that. monoblack was not really meant to be a big fatty color. if ya want that go green. now there are ways to make it big fatty color but it works best as a mono black suicide.

***** THE ULTIMATE MIDGET MUNCHER! Sengir is my all time favorite card! give him first strike (via fencer's magemark), and he becomes the ultimate slayer. Then just sit back and beef him up for that final satifying blow. Works well in Red/black burn decks. damage em, then put em down with the Vamp, and watch him get bigger.

***** This is my favorite vampire card and is a symbol for Magic the gathering,is a very very good card black and the cost of mana is low. The family sengir is eternal......

**** ttThis card is great in a black/white deck with serra angels the only problem i've noticed with is against sliver decks it gets pounded.

-- By Ultima Magic from DDunedin, Nz. on December 26, 2005

** I used to have one of these. I put it into a deck, but it didn't work very well. It has flying, but by the time you put it into play, the opponent also has a creature with flying. Usually, it will sit in you hand staring up at you, while you keep playing the better cards in your hand. If you do get into play, it will be like the 6th or 7th turn and your opponent will already have a 4/4 or 5/5 that you don't want to block for fear of its "potential."

*** the preeminent black flyer of its time and its still not too shabby today either..........

***** One of the best I've ever seen.

**** good card. I have 4 in my deck, but its not that great.

-- By Anonymous from Eden Prairie on April 20, 2003

**** This card has one of my favorite pictures on it

-- By Anonymous from nj on December 24, 2002

***** I think Sengir vampire is one of the best black, flying creatures in the game. I have one Sengir vampire, and one Repentant vampire, and if I have both of them in play at the same time I always use to win....

-- By magicboy from oslo, norway on December 23, 2002

**** 5 mana for a 4/4,growable flyer is tight.But i'd rather play a stalking bloodsucker!

-- By Anonymous from USA on November 06, 2002

***** 1. the picture is tight 2. it's in the torment story. a lavamancer fights one 3.the picture is tight 4. 4/4 flyer 5. gets bigger from chumps 6. tight picture

-- By Anonymous from dhhdfgh on July 19, 2002

***** this crd is tight,it only sucks that if the creatures goes in the graveyard by sengir vampire other wise it's tight

  -- By boogymonster from bear,de on June 22, 2002

***** This card is awesome

-- By Anonymous from Chapel Hill, NC USA on February 24, 2002

** This card was good back in the day, but its nothing compared to some of the newer cards. Also, I dont see why its still called sengir vampire. The sengir family has nothing to with the entire odyssey. Arghhhhh.

***** this card is the s$*$...

-- By Anonymous from sdghtkk on February 10, 2002

***** This card is one of the reasons I like 4th Edition so much. I think that it is the best black flying creature and one of the best creatures in the game.
