Spectral Bears shares the load with Serrated Arrows as the cards players point to when arguing that Homelands is a set worth exploring. This was an important sideboard (and in some cases maindeck) component of monogreen beatdown decks, and was created in part to answer the threat of Necrodeck dominance. The bears are so efficiently costed for their reasonable drawback that any old school player fond of green should search out a playset. In fact, their drawback is practically negligible- sure they might not untap normally, but what color specializes in untapping creatures better than green? Paging Seeker of Skybreak.
