good with torchling, but im not sure how far youd get ive never tried

This card is great. most people dont rate it a full 5 because it helps out your opponents too but i use a burn deck that has a total of 6 creatures because it also has some howling mines and wheel of fortunes in it so im continuously getting burn cards. and counters arent a problem for cards like demonfire. you play a creature? zap, its dead. you play a bunch of creatures? rolling thunder.....there dead. i get tired of you screwing around? two burn cards (two turns).... your dead. this is all why i give it a 5.

I have seen decks that have dealt over 60 damage to seperate people in the same turn with this card. Great for red decks (one of my favorites).

Difficult card to depend on, fun value outweighs strategic limitations, makes Urza's Rage playable.

This card is great with any deck, by turn four you could send out the big fatties, my four shivan and two-headed dragons are simply brilliant in my deck. The only drawback is the uneven mana cost burning you, thats why I have 12 x and 1 red burn spells in my EXCELLENT deck.

I love this card, use it to get lots of mana for fireballs or disinegrates.
