Isn't this less useful ever since Wizards ruled that damage no longer goes on stack? This would be amazing if it did; you could cast Reverse Damage to gain life from the damage first and Eye for an Eye on top of the stack for the best of both worlds and no damage to you.

supposedly, the first appearance of the character 'gerrard' although nothing in the text says so.........although the card's function is in'sync with 'ole wily gerrard's...............
