I think it's a great Card a mox ruby part of the power 9(power 10 if u like)
but it's by far not the best card from the power set.
I think I would rate it six or seven from the power nine. -- By Xiphias from Arnhem,Gld,Nld on December 19, 2002 |

moxes are only second to black lotus. i hear people saying that this is no different than a mountain, but you cant play 2 mountains on the first turn can you? moxes are essential for serious t1 play -- By Anonymous from sussex nj usa on April 30, 2004 |

Classic power 9, free mana!!! What can be better? One land per turn, or if you have 2 or more Rubies in hand, play them all without limit, and without tapping any lands. Wonderful card! -- By Aaron from KY, USA on April 14, 2006 |

The background of Mox Ruby's artwork is the best of all the Moxes! -- By Gerald from Providence, RI USA on February 25, 2007 |

Yeah, the moxes. I believe moxes are incredibly cheap and awesome, but what to you gain from a mox? Yeah, you can play as many as you want in a turn, but still! Imagine, if you had a 2/2 for 0 mana. Yeah, it's incredibly cheap and awesome but what are you left with? A 2/2. It's not hard to lose with a 2/2 on the field. I give this a 3 star because of it's incredible cheap and awesomeness, but I seriously think it shouldn't be on the p9 because of it's usefulness in the point of magic. winning the game. Not all cards in magic are meant to win the game, but the p9? Think of time walk, ancestral recall, and all the other cards. Those cards didn't get on the p9 just because it's they were an improved mana. Black lotus of course is an exception because it was the first card made, but a mox doesn't have that advantage. A mox I believe should be like Mishra's Factory, or all the other cards associated with the p9 like that. -- By Anonymous from Acton MA on May 16, 2007 |

You don't play vintage do you? Please at least rethink before you post something like that. -- By Anonymous from boise idaho on August 13, 2007 |

Mox is essential for competitive play in Vintage format, the only downside of mox ruby is that it isn't mox sapphire or mox jet. Look at it this way, can't cast spells without mana. -- By Augie from Napa on May 26, 2008 |

Mox ruby is great for a person who uses red decks. I agree with the person who gave it three stars and claimed that it is not a powerful card and should not be a p9. Other than the fact that it is very rare ...In my humble opinion, I think lightning bolt should be a P9, if not for the fact it is a common i think it would fit. Troll and Toad rocks for keeping a good amount of great cards in stock like this one. -- By NateDawg from Fairfax, VA on September 05, 2008 |
