***** First turn counterspell? Yes please. :^)
-- By Trevor Yeomans from Calgary, Alberta on November 06, 2001
***** Not only is it the best Mox, being blue and all, but it has the best art too. Black Border is the way to go if you can afford one. Coolest of the big ten
-- By Miraxis from Old Town, ME on March 03, 2002
***** This mox is the best of all moxen. Blue has very little mana excel for all the high cast cards it has and this just is over the roof. Imagine. First turn counter of Sapphire medallion...

***** I agree.... an amazing card. Can't imagine playing when there were no restrictions on having 4 of these babies in your deck. (drool)

***** When did the power nine turn into the big ten?
-- By thesibut from NY on April 12, 2003
**** Library of Alexandria is considered the 'Tenth' card in the Power Nine. I hate blue, this gets four stars.

* Why not use an island instead?
-- By Ben from Canada on August 15, 2004
***** Use an island? Are you an idiot? You can only play one land a turn. Its like sky dimond only a F*** of alot better Its worth spending the extra $ for it instead of a sky dimond or an island.
-- By Rudolf from NY on August 28, 2004
***** definitely the best of the "10" (you can only play 1 island a turn... therefore 1 island + 1 mox = counterspell/mana drain)
-- By Ed from Hiram, Oh on September 01, 2004
***** You could use an island, but as the old saying goes, he who wins first... wins. Acceleration in any form (mana, card, etc.) strengthens your deck, and blue is viscious but slow. Also, a first turn mana drain or counterspell helps take care of black's incredible but non-sustaining mana force. It is the most sought after of the 5 for this reason.

***** Well, what says sweet like a first turn Grim Monolith or a Counterspell. I love my Monoliths, with them and this baby Morphling is able to hit the table on turn two. And if it's not a Morphling, it's Arcanis. Either way, you're far ahead of the game with this baby.

***** THIS IS AWESOME! The mox is totally great against any deck. You're an idiot if you don't think this card is good. For the alpha one, I can't believe they got their hands on an excellent plus. That's frickin' crazy unless it was one of those cards with a wicked tight sealed hardcase. It's a certain type of case where they seal it and it has info on it like what edition it's from and it's condition. It reminds me more of a frame than a case. I was on ebay once and a guy had a black lotus in one of those and because of it it was in mint condition. It sold for like $2,000.

***** food for my gorilla shaman....RAWR!!!!
-- By NickMcNickerston from The deep south on November 10, 2007
***** Moxen = average. Fyndhorn Elder/ Dark Ritual well better. Yes I'm joking and yes it's good.
  -- By ben_taylor79 from uk on May 15, 2008
***** the most sought after of the moxen. almost mandatory for serious vintage play.
