** This card is complete and utter crap! the only ways this card could be used is on sidebourd against modular or charge counter decks. because if you use this card in your main deck it will basically be dead weight because most people won't be use modular cards for sanctioned play.=)

*** this card is a very good card against any arc-bound deck and its black which is a great darksteel colour

***** This card is great. I have used it in many tournaments downtown. This card DESTROYS affinity players. It doesn't allow them to sackrafice cards to their Arcbound Ravenger. This card with March Of The Machines is great! It completely destroys affinity. And it's casting cost if fairly cheap. This Card with March Of The Machines and Disciple Of The Vault out on the field will completely destroy any affinity player. =)

***** I think its a goood card but I put it in an anti arifact deck against Darksteel Reactor! Personally the deck that i made works exceptionallty well. Green and Black destruction deck

*** it is a good card but i would only use it in a side board

* The card is not very good. I would never put it in a deck it has very little point. for five mana it is worthless i would like it for two but then i never play decks with counters. i have been playing for about seven years and have only played two decks it would be okay againsnt.

***** this card was ok a while ago, but now with coldsnap there will be age counters from cumulative upkeep and my favorite... DARK DEPTHS!!! this card is now broken, thank you very much.

***** for anyone who gave this card under 4 stars, you've obviously never heard of dark depths...this card will give u a 20/20 black legendary flying marit lage creature!thats insane!

** For 5 mana you can get some serious muscle. This is the only card i have found that makes dark depths worth having. 5 mana to get a 20/20 black flying indestructable creature out. Not worth building a deck around but it could be cool to have. Otherwise this card really useless.

***** With all of the -1/-1 counters people are putting on your creatures in the new sets, and all the +1/+1 they are putting on their own, and if you are not playing token cards, chances are other people are with the new cards, this card can be pretty versatile by itself. I've played it several times in my mono black deck before my dark depths ever hits the table. At the same time, it so fun to watch my opponent pack up the few cards he's put out when this happens: 1st turn swamp, second turn Dark Depths, double dark ritual, Aether Snap. They go "Oh man, I had a good hand, it's not even fun playing against that!" and I laugh.

**** Although the Dark depths idea is great and a blast for casual, the point of the card is still to hose affinity and annoying goblin token decks. Any card that clears the ravagers and nullifies them is still great.

**** This is a fracturing gust that hoses elves, goblins, modular decks, interacts awesomely with a couple different cards/mechanics from coldsnap, and i'm sure it wrecks plenty of other decks. 4 stars because first, it says permanents, not cards (so greater gargadons and such stay off of the actual field), second, 5 mana, 2 of it black, is a little pricey, and 3rd, it's a sorcery, making it substantially less tricky. still most definitely worth sideboarding in most decks.

***** This card is great against planeswalkers. take away counter and bye bye planeswalker. definitely stops a planes walker ability to gain enough counters for maximum attack.
