New at Trollandtoad.com ... the RANDOM MONSTER GENERATOR

Simply order as many of our $.89 D&D Miniatures as you want and we'll pull them at random from our vast supply of overstocked figures! We put every type of figure in here: monsters, PC's, NPC's, everything you may need for your game!

Please Note that these miniatures do not necessarily include their stat cards, although many times they will. Also, for orders of large quantities of these they may contain heavy duplication. And lastly, we do not take returns on this item, due to problems in the past with people ordering, picking out the best ones in the lot, and then returning the rest. That's simply not fair to our other customers.

***** Wow... I got many minis from many sets. Great deal! Keep up the good work T&T.

-- By Jeremy from Indy, IA on August 03, 2006
***** I really expanded our bi-weekly game play with these, plus it was a lot cheaper than buying boxes, wide selection from diferent sets, thanks a lot!

***** A great price on basic miniatures. It's not always easy to just get a bunch of common, basic, generic monsters for use with my group of beginning D&D players... for about $30 including shipping I managed to stock up on a nice selection of giant spiders, giant snakes, hyenas and cougars, orcs, goblins, hobgoblins, kobolds, troglodytes, skeletons, and general adventurer-types - these are just perfect for doing double- and triple-duty as different types of basic dungeon bad-guys, while the adventurer minis are bound to be useful for player characters and friendly NPC's (and maybe even a villain or two.) Only a half-dozen or so were of minis I won't likely find more than one use for. What a great idea, and what a great deal! Shipping was fast; some of the minis arrived slightly flattened, one or two were outright squished (but at this price, I'm not going to complain - and a little hot water should fix all of these quite nicely.) I'd certainly order more of these the next time Troll&Toad have them in stock - 5 stars.

***** I bought 40 and of those I got 15 Beholders and 10 Dritz's! J/K...I was surprised how many of the 40 I did buy were uncommons though...this was a great deal. I just was looking to expand my options as a DM and this let me do so at a very fair price!

-- By Jon3000 from Overland Park, KS on February 22, 2007
**** I bought 100 of the minis. YOu can't really beat that deal anywhere else. I got a large amount of uncommons and some rares to go along with them. The shipping was really fast and efficient. The minis arrived in good condition, and many of them came with their stats cards. I believe this is a really good idea for upcoming and older D&D fans to invest in. I will definitly order more when I get the chance to do so.

***** I've been collecting these minis since the first set and I've used many sites to purchase them and I gotta say this site has the best deal for getting those minis that you need. Good prices!!

-- By John from Atlanta, GA on May 20, 2007
***** i bought almost 1000 of these randoms, plus 300+ selected ones. come well packed, about 20 of all of them were pretty squished, but expected with all the others weight on them. alot of duplicates but i found them to mostly be 10 or less of them and still got a lot of ones i never had yet. lots of uncommons too about 80 of the 500 from my first order. well worth buying just to add to your collection and to trade with others. plus i like hugh scale battles, having 15 more Harmonium Guard to add to my 100 i already rave makes my castle seiging look that much better. and for the price, can't go wrong. thanks guys.

***** This is an awesome purchase for those who want to use miniatures for role playing rather than collecting. I ordered 50 of these and got a nice assortment of adventurer types (for my players or my villains) and monsters (to challenge the players). There were several doubles, and a set of 5 wolves, but that just makes setting up multi monster melees more realistic (just don't tell the wolves they're being used as were-rats in my current campaign). Beats the heck out of spending $2/miniature in booster packs or using green dice for orcs and red ones for ogres during gameplay.

-- By Greg Smith from Charleston, WV USA on July 05, 2007
*** You get what you bargin for with these minis. My first order was mostly bullywug thugs and giant toads. Its ok though cuz they come in handy for setting up a battle. I just ordered some more of these minis and will hopefully get a good assortment!

-- By Chris K. from Reno, NV on July 13, 2007
**** Ordered over 100 minis. Great price ! A number of duplicates, but they'll work great for set-piece battles.

-- By Joe C from Seattle, WA on August 11, 2007
***** Awesome offer! Great selection! I got a little bit of everything. Prefect for RPG use. You should buy some of these before they are all gone!!!

-- By DaringDragoon from SoCAL, USA on October 05, 2007
**** I like the random assortment you can get from this deal. I've ordered these figures for the fun of not knowing what you'll get. I have so far gotten mostly duplicates, but i have gotten new figures. The duplicates were my fault however because i only order the commons under a dollar anyway =D, so naturally I got duplicates of the commons I just ordered.

-- By Ben from Pueblo West, CO on November 26, 2007
*** This was cool. Some of them were really smushed but they bonce back after a while. Mostly commons, still ones we did not have. We will buy more of them it was fun, and all of ours had the cards ...Thanks troll and toad .....

  -- By Phillip from Austin,Tx on December 20, 2007
**** Great group of Mini's! A few duplicates but they were of ones you would probably find grouped up in a battle anyway. Will be ordering many more soon!

-- By Darin from Illinois on January 09, 2008
***** Sorry mates... I just bought ALL the remaining spare minis, hoping in a very good deal. Stay tuned: more info will follow after the delivery of shipment (Internation FedEx).

-- By Fabio from Modena, MO, Italy on March 17, 2008
***** This is an excellent value if your main interest is miniatures for roleplaying. I ordered 50; every one came with its stat card and they were all in good condition. There were not many duplicates, and I got a good balance of player character races, NPC races, and monster types.

-- By Tom from Santa Fe, NM on June 03, 2008
**** Pretty good value, decent condition. Worth ordering.

-- By Benjamin Tingler from MO on August 14, 2008
***** This product was great. I wanted to get into D&D, but my budget wouldn't allow it. So I decided to make my own game. I bought some dice, and 20 random miniatures. It's great. They included all stat cards. I got 2 Iron Defenders, 2 Demonweb Swarms, 2 Greypeak Goblin Archers, 2 Goblin Picadors, 2 Giant Centipedes, 2 Troglodyte Bonecrushers, a Grimlick, a Celestial Blackbear, Galeb Duhr, an Orc Zombie (I didn't even know they made a miniature for those), a Hammerer, a Gnoll Skeleton, a Carrion Tribe Barbarian, and Shadar-Kai Assassin. This is a great assortment for a first timer. Coupled with ones I've collected from various other sources, i've obtained a small army of miniatures. I recommend this to anybody looking to get into D&D, making their own game, or just out to collect awesome and beautifully crafted miniatures,

-- By Chris Marnati from Ohio, USA on October 10, 2008
**** This is a great selection if you're starting your mini collection like I am. I skipped from 2e to 4e and so I didn't have many of the miniature knowledge the game had shifted towards. This is the perfect product for starting your own collection if you're planning on being DM. I've ordered it twice with far fewer repeats on the second order as the first. One order I got cards and on the other I did not. Crap shoot stat wise, but a good value for basic necessities. I got 8 halfling sneaks in one order. A lot but enough to supply PCs, trade for something else, and build all halfling encounters. I also received a good wealth of PC minis. I recommend it for someone looking to start their miniature collection or anyone looking to add breath if not scope to their collection.

-- By Randy from Texas on December 17, 2008
***** I got my package yesterday and I must say that I am very pleased with what I received. I think that it was a good variety and well worth the money.

-- By Michael Edwards from Lamoni, IA USA on February 19, 2009
** Arrived timely, well packaged, but no cards. Other companies include the cards.

-- By toasty from San Diego on March 14, 2009
*** Well...they are random. I ordered 28 of these little buggers, and got no cards, and several duplicates. I know that these are both risks of ordering anything random, but still...not one card. I will say that most of them were in their bags and all of them were in great shape. I did get a couple of uncommon minis. All-in-all, it's what you should expect when ordering random items.

-- By Random Encounter from South Carolina on March 26, 2009
*** Only ordered a few, but got a good variety of monsters. I think I'll stick to choosing individual monsters next time though, even it was a good value.

-- By des kase from CA, US on April 13, 2009
** I only ordered 15 - ok value but I think I'll go with picking them out from now on - got a couple of uncommons but mostly VERY common (including a good few listed at $.49) - No cards at all but two were duplicates of cards I'd ordered as "complete miniatures" in this order. I was buying these for my son who kinda felt let-down by the lack of cards - guess I'll now be ordering the "complete" version of any he didn't already have or get duplicated in this order.

-- By Moonripple from Austin, TX on April 23, 2009
** Pretty underwhelmed... Although I understand that these minis are random, I was expecting to see a few uncommons and maybe a rare, instead I received 1 uncommon and 29 commons. Previous reviewers certainly faired better. On the upside, the average value of the minis worked out to $0.71, so at least I didn't lose money. If given the choice, though, I wouldn't have purchased many if not all of these minis. Oh well, it was a crap shoot... I will continue to buy individuals and leave the random minis to those who feel lucky. :)

-- By James from Los Angeles, CA on May 13, 2009
*** Not bad, especially for the price. I was actually hoping for a winder assortment of minis, and was hoping for multiples, but I got a decent smattering of types (though 90% of them were humaniods). Definately a great way to stock a collection you plan on actually using for games.

-- By Christine Gannon from Arizona on June 04, 2009
** Pretty disappointing. I was prepared for duplicates if I ordered 25 minis but I only ordered 10. Half were vampire spawn or spirit warrior females. I'm not so sure this was a deal when considering the shipping charges. Maybe I just had an unlucky draw and will try ordering another 10.

-- By Thomas Thompson from Los Angeles, CA on June 08, 2009
*** I ordered 150 minis. I got a lot of variety and enough duplication to make them useful in a game while not being so bad as that I got 3 sets of 50 identical minis. On the down side... I only got 7 larges, 4 of one, 2 of another and a single. All of which were very specific and not really utilitarian (i.e. they weren't generic looking bipedals or quadrapedals) I was hoping for more larges. I also didn't get any undead, dragon like creatures, constructs or elemental looking minis which limits the usefulness of the set. I'm a little disappointed that almost all of them were just common bipedals especially since I thought ordering 150 would prevent this from happening. Shipping was expensive but not unexpected given the size of the box.

-- By My Name from My Town, USA on June 23, 2009
*** I still think this is a worthwhile deal for those looking to start their mini collection. I've ordered roughly half a dozen times now from Toad and Troll. If you don't want duplicates order from the other T&T orders that say no duplicates. This description says from their overstock so don't expect a lot of anything but commons. I was given a bunch of guys I didn't have on this last order though. Some duplicates on mercykillers and orc savages but those are just the sort of duplicates I need now for minions to keep them straight. If you want original minis order them one by one, if you need a lot quickly with some amount of difference, order a lot of the randoms. I love it, but I don't expect it to be more than it purports to be. Read descriptions, buy smart, be happy.

-- By Randy from Texas on July 17, 2009
***** great deal!

-- By cathy stoves from birminham alabama on August 06, 2009
**** This had more variety than I anticipated, but not as many monsters as I would have liked. You can't beat the price, and as soon as my players get tired of looking at these I plan on buying a bunch more. Also, the shipping was really fast!

-- By Anonymous from Texas on August 27, 2009
** For all variety that people tout, I found my order very disappointing. I ordered 50 minis, the vast majority of which were among 4 models.

-- By Gabe from Los Angeles, CA on September 23, 2009
***** This is a great way to get some general minis for game play. Out of 30, I got only two duplicates.

-- By James from Louisville, KY on October 02, 2009
** I ordered 50... and while it was a good deal, I would recoomend buying their other package type deals. No stat cards, all minis with weapons had them bent somehow, and the majority were repeats (10 kobold archers, and sets of 6, 9, and 10 of three typres of dwarves.) I got some value out of it, but I'll buy their 10 packs in the future. For first time buyers, a tip: Only buy if their stocks are above 300.

NECROMANCY
(optional) Give this warrior a special action. It cannot be in base contact with an opposing figure. Reanimate one of your eliminated figures (except a multiple-dial or titan figure), and turn its combat dial to the starting marker. Roll one six-sided die. On a result of 1-3, turn the reanimated figure's combat dial clockwise a number of times equal to the result. If three skulls are not showing in its stat slot, place it in base contact with this warrior. On a result of 4-6, remove it from the game. Do not turn the combat dial clockwise for reanimated figures with the words Zombie or Skeleton in their names; they always return to the battlefield with their combat dials at their starting markers.
SUMMON
(optional) Give this warrior a special action when it is not in base contact with an opposing figure. Reanimate one of your eliminated Mage Spawn figures with a point value no greater than this warrior's point value, turn its combat dial to the starting marker, and place it in base contact with this warrior.
TERRIFY
(optional) When an opposing player moves a non-Hero figure so that it would come into base contact with this warrior, that player rolls one six-sided die. On a result of l or 2, the figure cannot move into base contact with this warrior this turn. This warrior is not affected by another figure's Terrify.
GHOSTFORM
This warrior cannot be the target of ranged combat attacks. This warrior's base does not block line of fire. This warrior fails to break away only on a die roll result of 1.
HEX
(optional) Give this warrior a special action and a Hex token. Once until the beginning of your next command phase, you can choose a target friendly or opposing figure that has made an attack roll within 18inches of this warrior. The target must reroll the attack. Use the rerolled result instead of the initial result. Remove the Hex token when the target rerolls the attack or at the beginning of your next command phase.
LIFE DRAIN
(optional) When this warrior succeeds at a ranged combat attack against a target figure and deals at least l damage, it is healed of l damage.
