Released in April 1995, Fourth Edition was a new version of the Magic: The Gathering basic set. In this set fifty-one cards were taken from the Revised Edition and 122 cards from previous expansions were added making this set 378 cards.

Every Fourth Edition Starter Deck Tournament Box comes with 10 decks containing 60 cards each including 3 rare, 9 uncommon, 26 common, 22 land, and a rulebook.

Of the 378 cards in the Forth Edition Edition Core Set, the most famous cards are: Birds Of Paradise, Wrath of God, and Unstable Mutation

***** In my opinion 4th edition and below were the golden age of Magic. Everything after that was lost to making money. The card creators stopped doing it for the game and started doing it for the money. Of course, I could be wrong. Fourth ed. has all the cards that made magic a big success. Today there's so many different exspansions that it just too much trouble to keep up with. It's just not fun anymore.

***** Amen. Couldn't agree more. I stopped at 5th ed. and still have my cards, thinking about returning, but when I see so many expansions and cards designed to look like modern crappy card games I give up...
