Black Dragon #38 D&D Icons of the Realms: Elemental Evil

The mini itself is beautiful and a great addition to my dragon collection.  The amount of detail is pretty good for its size.However, buyers should note that this is not a large dragon, like the rest of the flying dragons so far. This is a MEDIUM. Not a huge deal, honestly, as I''d want it in my collection anyway, but I probably would''ve waited for the price to come down to a more medium-size level. This is my own fault rather than Troll and Toad, though, so I didn''t take a star off for this.The big issue is that the stand does not fit the dragon at all, making it impossible to mount securely. Now, it''s possible I just got the wrong stand, but the stand/base/dragon were all in the same package, so... *shrug* Just something to be aware of.

I probably should have read the reviews before purchasing this, because this is a black dragon wyrmling not a black dragon. However, I''ve taken points off for this because Wiz Kids does usually put in the name if a dragon is a wyrmling or a young dragon. Here they did not. I suspect it was like their choice to make two of the elementals medium instead of large (no clue why, probably because they can only have so many large minis per set). Bad decision. I''ll be able to use this mini someday but for now it won''t suit my needs.
