This binder is large enough to store enough 3x3 card sleeves to hold each card from 4 different MtG sets. My current binder holds one of each card from Shards of Alara (249 cards in the set), Zendikar (249 cards), Rise of the Eldrazi (248), and Magic 2011 (249), with spaces left for the cards I'm missing. A playset in each pocket should also work fine, but the binder isn't large enough for many more pages (108 pages used, total).

When stored standing upright with so many cards, the pages droop a little, and I'm worried the rings of the pages will be damaged, so I recommend storing the binder flat. On the flip side, with so many cards stored flat, any cards which have been warped (eg, foils) will become perfectly flat quickly. Additionally, with the storage maxed out, the top of the binder itself becomes a flat surface, and a second binder may be placed on top with no worry of sliding.

The external surface of the binder is cushioned, and the design is simple, but attractive. The design also downplays the UltraPro branding in favor of the Magic: the Gathering brand (the spine label has UltraPro branding on the reverse side, hidden at most times, and the spine has a smaller UltraPro logo in the same style as the MtG logo). The label on the spine leaves plenty of space for writing what the binder contains (even with a marker), but can be difficult to remove in order to write on it.

I've purchased 2 of these binders and they are inconsistent. The first was very nice, the second had a complete different kind of soft, shiny plastic and I'm concerned it may tear more easily. The embossing seems to scratch off more easily and it shows finger prints more than the old matte plastic.

Capacity is good... I estimate it will hold 1000 cards comfortably, quite a few more if you place four per pocket.
