Do you like to play Wild Mages in D&D? Does it tickle your fancy to roll for the randomness that is the Wand of Wonder? Are you drawn to characters like GSX's Tarot, that have unpredictable power sets? Are you your own worst opponent? If you answered YES to any of those questions, then this may be the figure for you!

With an omni-power trait that has a huge chance of backfiring completely, Legion is a fun, random piece to field that cannot be effectively relied on. The key to using him successfully lies in picking powers that he can't accidentally counter himself - Ranged Combat Expert could be a buzzkill if he picks up Battle Fury, or a break even point if his attack drops by 2. Focus on powers that don't suffer from combat modifiers or the inability to make ranged attacks, and he may do okay. Poison, Regeneration, Force Blast, Invincible, Enhancement, Empower, Sidestep, Plasticity and Shape Change all make for good choices depending on the situation.

The key is that while he can pick something, he doesn't have to open that Pandora's box, and David could play as a strait up attack & support piece. Taken in that regard, The son of Charles Xavier is not half bad, as a player could only pick powers on a turn where Legion plans to clear. Sidestep as a free action to move to cover, for instance, or take Perplex to modify combat values. The trick is to think creatively and not get greedy. Picking Perplex to help an ally and then rolling a 6 to pick Probability Control or Enhancement could really stack the deck in your favor. Minimize the drawbacks, and he'll manage just fine. With all that said, he must have inherited that head of hair from his mother.
