The only reason why this is common is that there aren't many illusions. On the other hand, with the introduction of the Lorwyn Changelings, the Krovikan Mist has gained in strength.

play this after a couple turns of your chronozoa's duplicating with paradox haze and bam you have a 32/32 w/ flying

I have an illusion deck with 4 of these and it is the bomb! Also, combo with Adarkar Windform!

Combine this with a ton of decent illusions like Mistform Warchief, Mistfolk and ESPECIALLY Chronozoa. For two mana you get a flier that can be pumped up a little too easily with an assortment of fellow illusions, even other Krovikan Mists, and you got yourself a 5 star card.

I love to run these with Meloku the Clouded Mirror, Chronazoa, Palichron, Draining Whelk and/or Somnophore; depending on the build of the deck~Control vs. Speed. Meloku is probably my favorite combination with this card though.
