Amazing, but not absolutely so. It is definitely good in most cases, but never think of it as an "Auto 4 of."
Pros:
3/3 Haste body.
Damage from it's ability is direct.
Doesn't have to attack for other creatures to trigger it's ability.
Con:
Doesn't have any form of evasion besides not attacking.
3/3 isn't beefy enough to lean on attacking all the time.
Other Options:
Archwing Dragon - Flying is huge. It doesn't synergize as well, but this can actually be a benefit if you're not in that perfect "win-more" situation. Hellrider can be blocked, and although you do not need to swing with him, a 3/3 haste is usually a shame to waste. Archwing Dragon also has psuedo-protection from sweepers.
