Lhurgoyf - Foil

I love this card. It is great late in tournament play when your both down.

You do not need to build a deck around it...it will go perfect in most green decks anyway...if someone kills off a verdant force and an avatar of might (for example), I just throw one of these bad boys out and he is a 15/16, it will take alot of direct damage to kill THAT off...

I won a tournament back in the day ('96) based upon Lhurgoyph with Jockulhaups, elves, and Orcish Lumberjacks - a good deck for when I was breaking out of scrubhood. There are other creatures that are obviously better, but this card is a sentimental favorite of mine.

This card definitely posesses awesome power and brings many strategies with it. The only problem is, I think many people will try to build an entire deck around these babies(or at least I've seen a few decks built around them). I think it is way too hard to build a deck around a creature unless that creature is virtually indestructible, like morphling.

this card is ok, here is a alright combo: Lhurgoyf, Goblin recruiter,and hermit druid. This would be a goblin deck with a dash of flavor. Recruit all goblins to top of deck then use hermits ability to put them all in graveyard now you have a monster. use an equipment to give it haste and trample for the win. pretty sure with red and green this is a 3rd turn win(many mana excellerance in green and with goblins).
