Spell Snare

wow my last review was a dream come true! 2 and a half years later! look at mental misstep just released. how unbelievable to pack 4 of these, 4 Forces and 4 Mentals into a deck . SO strong

lets see some common 2 cost spells? oh yeah.....MANA DRAIN! demonic tutor, infernal tutor, dark confidant, TARMOGOYF, mana leak, counter balance, the counterspell itself (which no one really uses anyway!) a ton of power artifacts like scroll rack, isochron scepter, ethersworn canonist, illusionary mask, painters servent.......the list goes on for those decks that will smack you sideways with either low casting cost lock up cards and their power pieces..... now can they make a 0 casting cost spell that counters 1 casting cost spells? that would be EVIL

1-mana counterspells that are situational in some form (i.e. in terms of what they affect) are useful atleast as SB options.
And if your meta has a lot of that situation (2-cost spells in this case), maindeck 'em

Great spell for early game-- can be a time walk. This is also great in a counterspell war, since it counters mana leak, remand, rune snag, etc for just one blue. Stops aggro from gaining control early, and allows you to get another move on board first. Can't be remanded safely. Overall a very nice card for main decks, or sideboards.

Cheap efficient tempo stopper. great sideboard counter for aggro.

slow down, agro || control, seems good...

What can you say something to stop a cheap instant.
