this is just purely broken. play a howling mine and two of these, and you're good to go. this is board control at its finest...kill a creature, attack, kill another one. this is my least favorite card to play against.

Amazing card! It slowly picks off your opponents creatures one by one and the fact that it's a 5/5 with first strike is amazing. I've found that the discard effect isn't really that big of a problem.

Great card ! This one is even better than the first Masticore, because you can deal damage without paying any mana plus it has first strike, just great !

it's good but comparisons with the first masticore are completely unjustified- the original could ping all day and regerate, which was key.
