This card is good... too good if you ask me. I give it 5 stars because, yes it's an incredible card, but I don't think they should have made it as they did. For a moderate casting cost, and no drawbacks, it takes away almost every drawback on every other card. This is one of the reasons that 5th Dawn temporarily turned me off to Magic, because the edition went too far.

So many good cards to go with this. Like Cosmic Larva, Shah of Naar Isle, Crater Hellion, Dragon Tyrant, Lightning Dragon, Solitary Confinement, they're are so many combos with this guy, its just really really awesome. You just drop this card in a deck that is specific for it and its instantly an advantage. Obviously i dont suggest this for any regular deck, but it is interesting and can make things really fun and annoying.

Works really well with cosmic larva and other similar cards, very nice card.

this card is GOOD! it really saves your butt with cards like cosmic larvae and razormane masticore. suddenly those cards are incredible, with no drawbacks. another plus is you get to hurt your opponent if their deck has cards like panoptic mirror that needs the upkeep to function. A good card for decks with the Razormane masticor and creatures like that.
