This guy is ridiculously gooooooood. Simply run artifact lands and artifact mana excel such as Sol Ring, Thran Dynamo, Everflowing Chalice, even Worn Powerstone To help you dump out a Darksteel Colossus, Sundering Titan, Memnarch or w/e(all on turn 5 for example). Is also great with all the new colored artifact creatures like the Sphinxs'. (My favorite choice other than Sundering Titan is Steel Hellkite[For Free!], equip with Lightning greaves and attack--Wipe w/e CMC I see fit.)

God this card is fantastic if you're using Modular...unfortunately for me this thing isn't in stock anywhere. Even card shops don't have this where I'm at. Otherwise I'd be buying 2 of these.

this card is undrerated...look at this
mycosynth golem + mycosynth lattice + march of the machines = EVERYTHING HAS AFFINITY FOR ARTIFACTS AND EVERYTHING IS AN ARTIFACT throw in darksteel forge and memnarch......mycosynth for the win!!!

Play Mycosynth Golem, then Mycosynth Lattice, then Darksteel Forge, then Nevanyrral's Disk, along with a few powerhouse artifact creatures, you are unbeatable..

Excellent card. If playing colossus, this card is great. There are other powerful combo with this card. I'm not saying to much, work it out yourself.

that's not true... This guy is designed to give artifact decks that doesn't normally run the affinity concept a chance to empty their hands fast.. Arcbound decks become much more potent with 1 or 2 copies of the Golem.

This really is the definition of a "win more" card. In a decent affinity deck, you won't ever be putting this guy into play because everyhing you're using is so low-cost anyways. And if you do waste the time you could have spent killing the other guy by waiting to put him into play, well... your loss, literally. You're just begging to get hit with a Hurkyl's Recall or Shattering Spree or Echoing Truth, and that'll be it.
