Try it together with Mycosynth Lattice (Darksteel, rare: turns all permanents into artifacts). Like shooting fish in a barrel.

Ok main cards people play with currently in type 2 as of may 4th 2006, Umezawas jitte, sunforger, and katamaru. Ummmm lets see 1 mana to blow away 1 artifact that could win the game for your opponet. OR 4 mana to blow away 4 artifacts that completly take away your opponets win condition. Sounds good. Current type 2 good artifact killers. hmmmmm Shatter (2 mana destroy 1 artifact). Demolish (3 mana destroy 1 artifact draw card). ummm well i think shattering spree wins by a landslide. Perfect gruul izzet boros rakdos or any other deck that involves red Sideboard card. Love it

yeah, definately a workable ability. you can kill one or all of their artifacts. tough in mulitcolor, though, and it needs to be an instant.
