I rescind my previous rating and give it a 4 instead: Mana producing elves like Priest of Titania, Wirewood Channeler, and Rofellos make it much easier to get this card out relatively early, and once you do it's an awesome vanguard for your elven army. Try putting it in a deck with Simic Guildmage and/or Golgari Guildmage for more fun with +1/+1 counters.

1 mana for a 1/1 trampler is kinda silly; 9 mana for a 6/6 trampler is a raw deal. Still, in an elf deck with Coat of Arms, it becomes pretty nice to have on your side.
