Why is it rare you ask? Because it taps for opposite colors, not many lands in MTG history tap for Black and Green, and if they do they were pain lands where you take 1 damage if you tapped it for the color instead of the noncolor. This is very nice even in a NON elf deck, coming into play tapped in my opinion isn't that much of a draw back. I got a few and I suggest you do too...
