This card is what makes standard elves so good. Turn one, drop arbor elf or llanowar elves, turn two drop this guy turn three youve got 6 mana to throw around. Vengevine and a nissa's chosen? Why not! this card is just broken. However i agree with the people above me a pyroclasm or the like will wipe out most elf decks, with or without archdruid. My favorite was when my friend produced about 50 elf tokens via presence of gond heritage druid, nettle sentinel and doubling season so on my turn i lightning bolted my own magma phoenix to wipe the field.
XD the look on his face was priceless XD

I agree with Jens. Elves are not hard to kill at all, they are vulnerable to removal and burn! I run an elf alarm deck and am amazed at how people find it so hard to beat. PACK A SHOCK PEOPLE, THEY'RE NOT EXPENSIVE!!!!!!

holy shoot! with me having an all elf deck, this would just make it kick ass! it is like a priest of titania but with an extra ability. XDDDD

Don't blame the elven planeswalker, Nissa, for being broken. After all, she's the only planewalker who can't survive a lightning bolt after having used one of her + abilities. Nissa is vulnerable, and so is Elvish Archdruid. With the reprinting of Pyroclasm, It's people's own fault if they don't sideboard the sweep spells.

If you want to go elf-hate, get a playset of Pyroclasms, Volcanic Fallouts and some Breaking Points. That should keep the elves nice and crispy untill you can move in for the kill with regular beaters. Magma Phoenix is also a great threat to elves, since it burns everything when it dies, and its ability to return to your hand from the graveyard

Just more proof that elves are the dominant type next to Slivers.

The moment I saw this card I was first stunnet, theis card was the exact combinatin needed in an elf power + mana in a ceep way, i personal is dropping Priest of Titania, because if you got some Fyndhorn elves or the like, you got Elvish Archdruid out in the second round anyway.

'Play the game, and stop whining!'

This guy has won me some games already in my Standard constructed Mono Green Elf deck. With a guy like this in the format Elves is a great option for people who aren't into playing combos and are tired of running Jund aggro, Fairies and Kithkin. Let's just say having this ability combined with Nettle Sentinels, Heritage Druid you can turn three Overrun and out right kill your opponent without breaking a sweat.

Ok, this is getting absurd. Sure, players have plenty of choices when it comes to making tribal decks, but with cards like this, why bother with anything but elves?

with mana burn gone (i am a little disappointed about that), this card is a must have for any elf deck, if this card is not in yours, why isn't it?

I am guessing this how the development meeting about this card went:

"Ummm, hey guys, why don't we take the awesome Priest of Titania and mix it with the very good Elvish Champion and not make it Mythic? It will be fair. I promise..."

While everyone was on the floor laughing at the idea of a card that good being in the set let alone not a mythic, the guy ran to computer and hit Print.

I'm still in a huge fan of priest of titania turn two, but this guy...
It makes it a lot harder to get rid of elves and has has the priests ability
as a major elves fan in mtg, this guy's a must have

but if you're using elves merely as mana base, stick with the priests...
