Destroys flipped Werewolves, and token creatures super effectively. Standard sideboard staple. Thus the reason this cards stock has gone up so much.

Though I do prefer Powder Keg over this... The 3 big differences I guess would be 1)This uses Charge Counters and Powder Keg uses Fuse Counters. 2)You have to tap this to put charge counters on, so it's slightly slower and has risk of being destroyed while you're building it up. Powder Keg simply activates at the beginning of each upkeep and you choose to add a fuse counter or not. 3)This hits EVERY non-land permanent of equal CMC, whereas Powder Keg only ices Artifact and Creature.
In short you can run this in Mono colored decks; I.E.: Mono black decks now have answers to Planeswalkers, Enchantments, and non-creature Artifacts(since nobody seems to use Gate to Phyrexia anymore). Mono red can now dispatch Enchantments which has always been it's biggest weakness(Chill, Propaganda/Ghostly Prison, Douse).

I can see this card replacing a few others, but it depends on the deck..
powder keg..
engineered explosives..
nevinyrrals disk..
serated arrows...
smokestack..
again, it all depends on what deck your running... this card will be very very good in vintage, its a MOX KILLER.. and can be easly dropped on turn one... and for colors that dont have enough board wipe, i can see this going in as well.. another good card with this is gilder barn, be careful of hexmages..
i give it a 4 out of 5 because it cant be used in every deck, but as a "mini reset" it fills that spot real good..
