Good thing I bought a signed playset before price jumped on these again. lol. It's just awesome to instant speed a Cranial Plating onto an Ornithopter for the win!

First of all, let me start by commenting the art. Glimmervoid is in my opinion one of the most beautiful cards in the Mirrodin block, rivaled only by other beauties like Platinum Angel. On to the abilities, I must say that Glimmervoid is one of the better rare lands of all time. Artifact decks of Mirrodin didn't need this card, but it surely helped smoothing out the mana needs when running a deck full of Artifact lands with no other real way of fixing mana. While Glimmervoid may not be an Artifact Land in itself (I wonder why? - maybe it would have just been completely broken...), it has hepled me cast everything from Brood Stars and Thirst for Knowlegde to Terror and Swords to Plowshares.

I would rate this 4.5/5, but the art and my positive experiences with this card urges me to rate it 5 stars.

Don't know how anybody can think this is a bad card. Especially good for decks worked around artifacts.
Same as Thran Quarry specifying itself around Creature decks. It can be much more easier keeping around artifact then creatures in play.

One of my favourite. Small disability, otherwise excellent for artifact-mix decks. Better than most multicolour-producing land card.

At end of turn, if you control no artifacts, sacrifice Glimmervoid. :Add one mana of any color to your mana pool. 'An empty canvas holds infinite possabilities'

Nice card. Not as good as Thran Quarry though.

-------DO NOT USE IN TYPE 1.5!-------

Good for type 2 tournaments if you play Affinity/Ravager decks because it can help you get the colors you will end up needing (such as blue, black, etc). This also allows you to be able to play the cards that require a certain color of one mana (such as consume spirit), also its easier to use because maintaining a nice amount of artifcats is easy.
