This ranks up there with Venser with the best prevention blue spells of all time. Definately worth it. It not only stops powerful spells, but also stops their turn at the same time. It has saved my life countless times and situations that are normally impossible to aviod (I've dodged Tendrils with this).

It's mana heavyness causes you to play a max of 3 in a deck. And requires a power deck to use properly.

I really like this card. It's just like Time Walk except a little bit pricy. But worth it.

He He, totally evil, i love it. Got one and want four. Eaisly the best "counter spell" of all time with a close second being Force of Will.

I like to use this after someone attacks me with a Ball Lightning, Jackel Pup and what have you... Time Stop! They remain tapped and don't die at the end of that turn. My turn comes up and I swing at opponent, enter the end of turn step--they finally die, clean up and pass. Probably the best thing about this is the Exile effect, granted it exiles itself also but that's okay because it would have already caused enough damage.

Great Flavor on this card, being the only card that can do what it does!

Btw, to those who say you can use this on Isochron Scepter, the answer is NO you can't.

The reason being is that Iscochron Scepter looks at the converted mana cost which will always be 6 even if you use Sunscape Familiar. All Sunscape Familiar does is reduce the amount of mana you pay, it doesn't change the converted mana cost.

Nice card, but certainly not the best like one guy said. Force of Will 'lawlz!!! pwnZ!!!' it, as does mana drain
