the casting cost is too high, 4, and 3 life and sorery speed? there are alot more draw cards in black that are cheaper, and you dont lose as much life.... if your gonna lose life to win a game, you better be quick and if you have to get 4 mana on the board, then that SHOULD be your last turn, you will win, or lose, so i really dont think this card is worth the cost... now if you play a control based black, you better have some kind of life gain or this card will bite you in your later game.... i prefer board control, and after you have control, then drop necropotence. its so much better, you decide on how many you draw.... and the cost is only 3 black.. this card is good for 2 color decks that can produce mana or lifegain, but as for mono black... not for me....
