This has to be one of my all-time favorite Berserk targets. And run Avoid Fate or Devoted Caretaker to prevent it from being Exiled, Bounced, or Destroyed.

An ideal component for any cleric tribal deck, and a great white weenie at that. In recent sets, he combos beautifully with cards like Concerted Effort. And to clarify- if he blocks a trampling creature, it does stop the creature, but does not stop the trampling damage. The trampler will assign as much damage as would be lethal to the Chaplain if he did not have protection (in this case, 1), and the rest will trample through. Still, he's a great blocker.

He is an awesome card for 2. Put a spirit link or an armadillo cloak on him and go to town gaining life. By the way, he has protection from creatures so that first guys review is right on except that even trample damage is reduced to zero (thus nothing tramples.)

Need a blocker for those big green (or any other color for that matter) creatures that dont have trample. I just found you a prime suspect. Or you can always beaf it up with stuff like muscle burst (etc.) and do direct damage (since he cant be blocked either)
