My Girlfriend uses 4 braids with blastoderm. your enemy is losing lands or blockers, blastoderm comes out huge and cheap, and by the time he is about to fade out, you sac him. Creakwood liege is a nasty friend of braids, too. get a worm, sac a worm. plus it makes her ping resistant. throw in a zombie infestation and a Liliana Vess- Fun stuff.

Play this with Paradox Haze AND Sakashima the Imposter. You will then have two braids in play and give an opponent an extra upkeep. Then you can have your foe sacrificing FOUR permanents per turn. When it comes to your turn, throw in plenty of graveyard manipulation so you can either sac chump blockers and revive them, or give braids a break and ressurect her a turn or two later.

Braids is truly a high-maintenance girl. She is the cornerstone of my black control deck. When used with a creature generating enchantment like breeding pit, she clears the table pronto! :-)

Oh you don't even know the power of this card in a sac deck. Imagine they have like 2 one ones out you put this out your turn they sac one. then its ur turn you got a festering goblin and sac it and kill the other. or what i do if i feel threatened is i just sac this and i just destroyed one of there permanents for 4 mana. plus if you have grave pact its like damn.

Hey #5 I had someone leave the table after I played braids. Add in a couple of soul foundrys (one with ornithopter & 1 with reiver demon) add as one of the other reviewers said, grave pact. I Have eaten my friends Angel deck alive so many times. All HAIL BRAIDS!!!

One of my favorite cards. Heres my combo (in my deck) 2 soul foundry's, 1 braids, 1 ornitopter, 1 mirror gallery.
You keep cranking out free ornithopers to feed braids, and by 4 turns your oponents are losing 4 cards.

This card is one of the best cards around. This card kicks soooo much A$$!!! I would give this card a 10 out of 5. You can keep it out if you have the mana or you can use it with breeding pit. If you don't want to sacrifice anymore just sacrifice Lady Braids. All of you will bow down to Lady Braids!!!

Only one of these people got it right... You don't use lands... you don't use 0 casting cost artifact creatures (as your supply will run out very quickly) ... you use SQUIRREL NEST ... duh.

The new Onslaught Symbiotic creatures work well with it also.. as does Acorn Harvest and Chatter.

Haiku reviews: Braids. Harbinger of doom/Strangles everyone's stuff/See opponents whine; Four Braids in my deck/My favorite black creature/I play to annoy. Haikus are cool.
Seriously though, get Braids and either a Snake Basket or a Breeding Pit out early (which is easy to do in mono black, using Sol Rings, Dark Rituals, and Demonic Tutors), and you've got the game all wrapped up (...in black plastic bags).
And she looks cool and has funny flavor text, too.

ok, we all know this card is excellent. However, i think that in the future it will be a lot more expensive because of the painting. Its impressive to know how someone can paint so much evil in one card!

none of u know how to play this card. You don't drop a bunch of lands, that would be wasting them U play this card in a deck with cards like ornopther, phyrexian walker, and other 0 or VERY cheap casting artifacts.think about it you aren't going to use little 0/2 pieces of crap, therefor their expendible.get my drift

I think the price is very reasonable as this card is a very good card. I use it in my black and blue deck and can combo with alot of other cards.

How can anyone say that this card doesn't rock? First of all, it's a 2/2 for 4, which is fairly solid in limited. The fact that every turn everyone has to sacrafice a non-enchantment permanent is utterly menacing, because unless the person who isn't controlling Braids has a way to kill her, she'll eat all you're creatures and land before she leaves the table.

Evidenlty you haven't played with this card, it works great with penumbras. I use a penumbra, braids, cabal minion and grave pact combo in my black green deck. As long as you know how to use the card it kicks some serious ass.

All I have to say is that this little 2/2 has won me 10 games alone! Second turn she hits the table via a Dark Rit, and the game is prtty much mine! Just make sure you keep dropping those lands!

Everyone can get rid of a few lands yes, but this little bugger I'll get to them really fast... And if you start to feel the pinch a bit more than the opponent just sac Braids. I've learned that Dark Ritual makes this card a good one too.
