This card in particular is good for useage with a legacy weapon, which requires one color of every mana to use its ability.

Finally, an easy way to cast those monstrous five-color cards, like Cromat and Sliver Queen... and Legacy Weapon is finally useful!

two things. first, this card is extremely beautiful in its foil incarnation. just vundabar! wow!! to the previous reviewer, yes, its not the most reliable of combos with 'legacy weapon' and its threat level may be tenuous at best, but still....i used to play with four 'c. quarry,' four 'karn, s.golem,' and four 'l.weapon,' and 'masticore.' so that no matter WHAT card came up, i had some fairly decent stuff. an animated 7/7 creature, a discard to 'masticore' and permanent protection from most decking mechanisms(ala 'millstone', 'grindstone')and of course the lovely "remove target permanent from the game for five mana(one of each color). i believe also that its becoming more in vogue for five color cards(especially the explosion of spells from 'mirrodin' block like "sunburst," alternate casting costs, and activated abilities for colored mana(that were actually worth thinking about for more that one second). in conclusion, maybe not all that, but perhaps, just perhaps, to be taken a tad more seriously with a solid mana base and a deck that doesn't depend on it absolutely............................

wow get excited over legecy weapon try to take this in a deck to a tourny half the time you'll go up against a land destuction deck wow this will do great playing one of thoose wont it
