this card is good because it's a 1/1 for 1 with a good ability that can save you from cards like booby trap and of course decking yourself. the one thing that I don't agree with the other guy with is psychic vortex, because basically all its doing for you is keeping you from drawing cards you might use and make you sac a land at the end of each of your turns.
